"We didn't really see him, so I have no reason to think he wouldn't be alright. We need to be getting you back to Gertrude, she's about to start a minor war in town over your disappearance."
Timpleton seems to be comforted enough. “He’ll come play another day...”
Rimmy - there is something different talking to Timpleton. Understanding and having a better vocabulary of common when communicating. Probably just because he is growing up in town and hears talking more often..
"Alright then! Let's get you back to mama." Rimmy begins leading the party back down the trail towards Wyndbrook.
As they're walking, quietly to the rest, Rimmy relates "It seems like he wasn't so much taken as ran away with his Kobold friend. I told him I didn't know what happened to his friend, so keep it a bit quiet."
He smiles back at Timpleton as he continues back towards the village.
You spend the next two days of relatively uneventful travel back home. Your feet are sore and your backs begin to ache as Timpleton has asked to be carried since he’s not used to walking so much. Near the end of the second day of travel back, you crest over a hill to see the beautiful sight of Wyndbrook. The tavern glowing with warm hearth fire and a buzz. Smoke still coming off the cool smithy. Just as you left it, you cant help but smile.
Seeing Wynbrook come into view Veryes lets out a big sigh "Ahhh, I can't wait to see Gertrude's face when we bring Timpleton back! I don't know about you guys but I can't wait to soak my feet in the stream and have a nice warm pie!"
Being the one who happened to be holding the goat she puts him down jogging down the hill "Come on buddy. Lets go see your Mamma!" She starts heading to Gertrude's house
Disappointingly, he peers down at Wyndbrook. The thought of a warm bath and decent food warms his soul a little, but the thought of discovery holds greater sway than the comforts of home. An audible sigh escapes his mouth. The world is full of questions and answers. He had more of the former. A lot more. Even though he had died, which was the most exciting thing he'd ever experienced, he had not found what he was looking for - the answer to his driving question. What came after?
He stumbles after Veryes and Trynwyn, deep in thought and not paying attention to the surrounds.
The gang crunches through the courtyard and makes their way down to the inn. You open the door to the ruckus party and post dinner snacks. The elders squabbling in the corner, the children running amok, and general revelry had all abound. The music stops and the whole town inside collectively looks to you in silence. A small little “maaaa” is blurted from Timpleton and a roar of cheer and applause erupt. A true hero’s welcome!
Gertrude rushes up and embraces Timpleton giving him kisses “I missed you so much my baby boy!” After a brief moment she begins to hug each one of you “Thank you, thank you so much!”
Veryes accepts the praise with a huge grin on her face. After sharing the story of recovering Timpleton to whomever will listen she finds a spot to sit and write in her journal about the adventure.

Veryes replies "Mums the word" and follows along keeping an eye and ear out for anything out of the ordinary.
