Myst, you don't see it. I would usually do an opposed check, in this case sleight of hand with Wil, But seeing as the lowest roll he could get is a 5 (2 being the lowest roll for halfling lucky and his +3 for the ability) it's not necessary.
Everyone has made their way to the table now (or back to it) and the meals and drinks are distributed. While Charisma and Mystwaen are checking out the group at the end of the table four of them stand up and make their way over to the group. The one in front is an exceptionally large human, two are average sized humans and the last is a barrel chested Dwarf. The big one whom you assume is the leader stops and leans on the table "So, what do we have here? The new Brute Squad huh? Looks more like the brooding squatters to me" he says with a chuckle. "I don't know why you group of misfits was picked but I think me and my friends here could do a much better job. The way I figure it, there's going to be plenty available for the taking once that forest is cleaned out and I think it should be me and my friends that takes it." Looking to make sure his friends are nodding along he continues "So why don't you all just slide your badges on down the table here and we can all go our merry way"
He stands with his chest puffed out and hands on his hips fully expecting you all to comply.
Bogue casts produce flame and holds the fire menacingly in his hand using the help to give someone advantage on intimidation to get the Non-squad brutes off their back.

Wil tries to sneakily put himself closer to the weapon check at the front. (He is able to use his naturally sneaky trait but to what extent that applies is probably up to DM, maybe)

Wil, you are able to easily move through the spaces left by some of the larger folk in the tavern and slip your way behind the bar and into the small room that acts as the weapon check. You see the back of the bored girl who's working the counter. 6
She appears to be playing cards and there is no one coming into the tavern for the moment as far as you can see.
From your position without risking getting too close to the girl 2 you can easily get your weapons and one other party members weapons.

Wil takes advantage of this moment and attempts to grab as much as he can, starting with small weapons that are easily lifted and concealed.
Stealth: 16
He then attempts to grab larger weapons starting with his bow and quiver and then larger weapons that look like the might belong to the bigger members of his new squad.
(I'm going to make a roll here for what else WIl grabbed and that may solve your problem Myst, I'll also do the opposed check for your intimidation in a sec)
(50/50 chance to grab fighter or paladin weapons. 1-10 fighter, 11-20 paladin 6)
Wil you have no problem recovering your weapons and Mystwaens weapons.
Opposed intimidation check: 9
The leader eyes Mystwaen up and down and then looks to the rest of the party at the table. He also notices that he's drawn the attention of a few other folk in the tavern including Nedrick, Jed and Zed. You see he deflates quickly letting out a long breath "Well, shit... come on, I was just messing with you." Slowly backing up from the table "Ya know, just some good fun. Didn't mean anything by it, right fellas?" he says to his companions. He continues to back away as you hear one of his friends mumble "you coward"
He and the two humans back away but the dwarf lingers eyeing Mystwaen and gives what seems a respectful nod before turning away.
(Darn it. I was hoping for a bar brawl but the dice weren't in my favor, lol)

Rasskan
As the large human approaches, Rasskan stands. Towering at 6'9" he stands over the human (presumably) and in his most draconic voice he says "back away this night. We have no fight with you, yet. And we would prefer to keep it that way."
With the bar brawl averted the rest of the meal and evening goes without incident. Unless anyone has anything else they'd like to do here I'll move us on.
Everyone makes their way to The Last Inn with full bellies. It's only about a 6 block walk (comparatively) and the night is pleasant enough. It's a little past mid-summer and the waxing moon has risen. (it's about 3/4 full for those interested) You pass a few others going about their business but nobody pays you any mind or draws your attention as being suspicious. The Last Inn is set just across the road from the new wall that's been constructed to enclose the thieves forest. You see a large wooden gate set into the wall with a heavy wood bar across it closing the gate for the night. There is a makeshift guard cabin set to the side of the gate, if you can call it that. It's mostly just 4 posts holding up a roof and there are 3 guards inside seated around a table while a fourth leans against a post smoking a pipe. The smoking guard watches you all walk into the inn but doesn't otherwise acknowledge you.
The Last Inn has seen better days. That becomes first apparent from the slightly stale and mildewed odor you're hit with once inside. The main room is a large open space with wide wood plank floors. There is a rectangular area in the center of the floor where the wood is lighter and doesn't look as worn. A spot that had clearly held a rug at some point. You see similar looking marks on the walls where tapestries, or perhaps artwork had hung at some point in the past. To your left is a fireplace with no fire burning and a fairly large table with 10 chairs around it. To your right are stairs leading up to the rooms and in front of you is a counter with a haggard looking halfling sitting behind it. The whole place is dimly lit from 2 oil lamps on the walls and the lamp the halfling has on the counter illuminating a book he's reading. Also on the counter is a mug and a couple dirty plates that look to have been there for a while.
The halfling doesn't notice you all enter at first and it's not until you're more than halfway to the counter that he looks up with a start. "HO, uh, oh.. Hello!" Clearing his throat he tries again "Hello, welcome to the last inn. Well, that's a uh, large group of folk you all are. Are you all wanting rooms?" While saying this he is trying to tidy up the counter and puts the plates and the book underneath it.
Edith enters the inn looking all around at the empty place. “I wonder why it’s so empty..” she says to no one in particular. Edith smiles at the halflings surprise. “Yeah, just for the night, how much are the rooms?”
The halfling hearing Edith ask how much the rooms cost perks right up and starts rubbing his hands together "Yes, yes, well, six rooms... I'm sure you all want your own room yes? That would be..."
Then he sees the badges come out and Wil mention the free night and he is crestfallen. His hands fall to the counter and his shoulders fall "Oh, you're the brute squad. Of course. I thought you may not show up, but I guess I was wrong." Be blows out a long breath "Just let me get your keys" he says as he pulls a lock-box out from under the counter.
Mystwaen would like to make a perception check to see Wil give Jed the coins: 5
She walks back to the table and sees a human and Dragonborn have joined the group at the table.

Edith, you see ...
they are pretty well dressed and are looking to just loot whatever is left behind in the forest. You can also tell that they are itching for a fight.
