Kathleen really doesn't do much other than chatting with Leelan and Johan about random meaningless shit. Basically small talk but she does it with enthusiasm.
Chatting for a bit, looking for more goblins, you make your way down the road. The treck is uneventfull but you do see more abandoned carts every few miles. You take a break to regain some energy and then continue. The day goes on and night gets closer and within the last hour of daylight, down the road, you see the town of Di'lial.
As you approach it, about a 10 minute walk away, the gate in the simply constructed wooden gate opens and a figure exits, sitting on a horse, comming at you at full speed. Only a few tens of feet away the rider slows down in his charge. It is a man wearing green and brown clothes with a simple chestplate and helmet. On his back is a longbow and quiver, on his right side a longsword. "I would recommend you to fasten your step. The night creeps ever so closer and you dont want to be here when its dark. But i am happy to see that someone was lucky enough to get down this path. You are the first in a tenday."
Leelan salutes the rider. "Indeed, we've seen several carts along the road that were raided by the miscreants. But I take it you are already aware of this if you're warning us."
"These bastards have been messing with us for must be at least 6 weeks. I have no idea for their motivation, we are just a small village, but they seem determined to let us all die. But now lets get within the Walls."
they turn their horse around and begin riding back to town, though at walking speed.
Leelan follows the rider inside of the village. "Thank you for sheltering us here. I am Leelan Dapper. Gentleman, scholar and hunter." He bows as he introduces himself. "Might I inquire for your name, Sir?"
"Great to make your acquaintance, Leelan. I am Farcan, leader of the Guard" he pronounces the word 'guard' with a humorous/ironic undertone "They have not attacked directly, but we fear they might do so once we are even more tuckered out."
As you arrive in the village, the gate is being closed behind you. The town wall is constructed out of tree logs, standing besides eachother, every other a about a foot higher than the others, thus creating sorts of a battlement. The wall standing 20ft tall also has a walkway at about 18ft height. The village consits of simple wood- and stone buildings, with roofs made of thatch or wooden shingles. There are almost no people in the streets at this time. The ones that are, are visibly tired. The town square, centered around the gate is used to grow crops. Farcan removes his helmet and reveals his face. He is an elf with blond hair and blue eyes. he has a scar that reaches from his left temple just past his eye, all the way down to his cheek. "As you can see, we had to improvise. We cant tent to the fields outside of town so we have to resort to closer areas. Areas that are in no way large enough to sustain the entire village"
„I said guard, but we are just a few. Just 6 to be exact and not all of us has seen a real fight. Its me, Corvin...“ he motions to a person with similar clothes standing on the walkway close to the gate, “...and the Gellek brothers, but one of them is wounded, another went to get help. So as a group of four we dont see mich success attacking them head on. But i see you are a soldier yourself. I have heard of Di‘rias. My condolences.“
Kathleen was not entirely sure how to respond to the man offering his condolences about what happened in Di'rias. Did the man know her? Should she introduce herself as Kathleen or as the name she had when she was still a soldier in the fort. No, she is Kathleen Burnes. As far as she was concerned, Elena, the eldest daughter of her father, had died in the attack along with the rest of her unit on that day. That's when Kathleen was born and that's who she is right now. Though that still begs the question. Did the man know her or her unit?
She asks, "Yes... It was... bad. Were you there when it happened or did you hear about the casualties of the attack from friends and colleagues?"
((OOC: Not sure if you're asking this in character or out of character but yeah, a long time has passed since the incident. Let's say that it's been a year or so. Also for context, Kathleen's real name was Elena. She served in Di'rias as Elena. She took the name "Kathleen Burnes" after the incident. Left her real last name unmentioned so that it's easier for you to work with if you want to do so since she is from a influential elven noble house.))

Johan will relate all of those things Kathleen chats about to how monsters do or care about those things.

YunoKathleen talks to the man in her usual friendly way, "Hi there. We were attacked by a bunch of goblins on the way but we took care of them."Leelan salutes the rider. "Indeed, we've seen several carts along the road that were raided by the miscreants. But I take it you are already aware of this if you're warning us."
(OoC: Who's Yuno?)
OOC: Oops. I messed up and wrote the wrong character... From the wrong campaign.
(No worries. Haha. Happened to me before as well)

Kathleen follows the rider to the village too. She's looking around at all the houses as they walk.
“Any incursions into the town?” Johan says softly.

Kathleen asks, "Is there anything the village is doing to solve the problem? Fight the goblins or hire others to do the same perhaps?"

I dont n^know how much time passed since the incident, so i assumed it would be long enough to make its way to Di'lial. correct me if im wrong

(OoC: Is this something Kathleen would have shared? My assumption is no but I wanted to ask just in case)
(This is not something Kathleen has shared with the party yet.)
ooc: It was ment to be ooc. Assuming a year has passed, then Farcan would know it and say the things he did.
