Banzo charges in, valiantly plunging his dagger in, again and again into the flank of one of the huge toothy beasts, it doesn't seem to notice.
The two beings facing Herman move to the left as their colouration flickers again and he whips across bisecting one and just missing the other. Broccs lance slams into one that he wounded before and it expires, impaled on the end.
The four vanished Chameleonites reappear someway up the opposite slope, hissing and waving their clubs. The three Chamelonites around the wagon all begin to flash white and yellow in panic and begin retreating up the opposite slope. Both remaining Chameleonites facing Brocc and Herman vanish from sight and hurried scrabbling footsteps can be heard moving away at haste.
Shalana continued to observe.
The two Baryonx snorted as their owners vanished and they turned away from Brocc, each snatching up half of the Chameleonite that Herman had divided. They gulped it down happily as they began to move off.
Hatch swung half-heartedly at the retreating lizardfolk.
.
( They all seem to be retreating and its fair to say you won that one fairly handily. You can continue firing at those visible if you wish, but they seem to be leaving. )
Brocc cleans the gore from his lance, wincing a bit at the serious wound he took from the bite of that lizard. He frowns after the fleeing creatures. Then he turns to the wagon. "What was that all about?" he asks those in the wagon.
Herman swings at empty air as the others enquire of the halflings.
" Don't rightly know. We don't usually have much trouble with the Chammys."
" Normally they'll just stay hidden and try and snatch stuff off the wagon with their tongues. Not sure what they had planned this time....but it wasn't looking good for us."
" Rajander Hanan is my name.", says the older halfling who was talking about spell casting earlier.
" My daughter Nirali and her husband Sanjeev Gupta. We do this trading run between Sundan Burrow and Stittle Woad a few times a year."
" Not sure why the Chammys are so much more confident these days. Be careful if you get any of their blood on you, can have some odd effects."
Hatch cursed his ill aim - he hadn't gotten a single hit in. Definitely needed to work on his hand eye coordination. He slipped his axes securely back into their proper place and approached the one halfling still brandishing his third axe, holding out his hand for its return.
"We're headed north. Towards the griffon riders. Which way y'all headed? We can provide protection as far up until we have to part ways," he offered.

" South East. I think we'll be right from here, they're not smart and will probably steer clear of us for a while in case more of them get butchered as easily as you did these ones."
" Skyriders of the Frostwind? Nasty bunch...a little too boisterous for folks our size to feel comfortable mixing with."
Banzo wipes his daggers on the grass to clean them before putting them away one at a time, first the right one straight into it's sheath, and then the left one, taking more time and slowly sliding it into it's sheath.
"My name is Banzo by the way and we are 'The Heroes of Chalice.'"
"Something about a missing crown." Brocc tells the halflings, not seeing any reason to keep it secret.
" The Heroes of Chalice? I have heard of you!"
" You stopped a great floating castle manned by dead giants and demonic sorcerers from laying waste to all Allansia. No wonder these Chammys gave you no pause."
He cocked his head to the side and shook it slightly, " A crown? A Barbarian Crown? They lost it?"
Brocc shrugs and prepares to move onward. "Be careful as you travel." He calls to the wagon. He will move a bit, then wait for the others to finish up.
Zelmalis looks at Banzo for a moment, "Didn't they just say they didn't think they'd be back? They'll be fine. Besides, where exactly do you want to escort them to? They're headed the other direction and you have heroic work to be about, don't you?"

"Too true! Too true! We're the 'Heroes of Chalice' after all, not some volunteer bodyguards. Besides, no good deed goes unpunished." Banzo will look back at the poor travelers who misjudged the dangers of the wild. Then he look up into the sky and remember when he flew on the back of a Griffon... and if you could imagine a Tortle that could smile... well, it would be Banzo.
(Banzo will cast Prestidigitation and make it look like he has a crooked smile plastered on his greenish face.)
"If you don't mind me asking, who or what is Pen Ty Kora?" Hatch would ask, curious.
The halfling smiled, " Oh...most just call him The Healer these days. He was once a great wizard....but it seems the healing takes something from him....you won't see him without a mask ever. I think he uses masks for healing as well."
"This sounds like a tale of a mysterious healer we heard about somewhere North of here. Where might we find this Pen Ty Kora?"
Banzo positions himself in the middle of his allies, forming a more solid grouping up.
" Keep heading north. If you come across a cave with a big carving of a bird...phoenix, I think....you've found him."
" I wouldn't go there unless your in need of healing though....once a wizard, always a wizard.", the halflings got themselves organised and set off down the valley once more.

Remember one attack against Brocc has disadvantage every round.
(And I've still got Bane up on 3 of them for now)
Initiative:
Banzo- 23
Herman- 22
Brocc- 19
Chameleonites- 16
Shalana- 13
Baryonx- 9
Zeltheris- 5
Hatch- 1
Banzo charges in, valiantly plunging his dagger in, again and again into the flank of one of the huge toothy beasts, it doesn't seem to notice.
The two beings facing Herman move to the left as their colouration flickers again and he whips across bisecting one and just missing the other. Broccs lance slams into one that he wounded before and it expires, impaled on the end.

As soon as the foe disappears, Herman, taken by surprise, swings his weapon where the foe was
Attack of opportunity with disadvantage because invisible
Attack: 15 Damage: 6
Brocc cleans the gore from his lance, wincing a bit at the serious wound he took from the bite of that lizard. He frowns after the fleeing creatures. Then he turns to the wagon. "What was that all about?" he asks those in the wagon.
Zeltheris watches the enemy run off and moves up to check over the survivors to make sure they're alright.

"We're headed north. Towards the griffon riders. Which way y'all headed? We can provide protection as far up until we have to part ways," he offered.
Herman, listening to the conversation, clears well his weapon upon the grass nearby
" South East. I think we'll be right from here, they're not smart and will probably steer clear of us for a while in case more of them get butchered as easily as you did these ones."
" Skyriders of the Frostwind? Nasty bunch...a little too boisterous for folks our size to feel comfortable mixing with."
" Why are you visiting them?"
As the blood touches the grass, some of the grass curls up and dies..other clumps seem to grow lush and green.

Shalana begins to tune itself.
Whistler - Lost Mines of Phandelver [Lvl 8 Barbarian] | Cinta Yuliani Lestari - My Island Home [Lvl 3 Fighter] | Shalana - Allansia Wildlands [Lvl 4 Monk] | Roger Durant - Storm King's Thunder [Lvl 8 Monster Hunter] | Rotthran - The Waterdeep Heist [Lvl 5 Thief]
"Going southeast, so you came from the northwest then? See or hear any strange news from up that way?"
" Nothing noteworthy. Though apparently someone spotted Pen Ty Kora out and about.....which is unusual."
"If you don't mind me asking, who or what is Pen Ty Kora?" Hatch would ask, curious.
