"Be careful, whoever is responsible for that fire must know it can be seen for miles."
Banzo holds his hand up to shield the sun from his eyes while looking in that direction.
"It could be a trap of some kind."

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Tzedaka smiles at her mentor, now having a few bruises from his teachings. However, she is a fairly quick study, although using her magic seems more 'efficient'.
She also takes a few shots with a light crossbow, but seems to prefer her sacred flame , although the range is good.
"That's a good idea Tzedaka. How many colors can you do?"
Addressing the group.
"Anybody have a strategy or a few tactics they think might be useful for when we face Zagor?"

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
( Lets assume theres a basic colour code worked out ie. red-danger close, orange- danger stay put, yellow, uncertain situation, green- all good, we return, purple- all good, come here.)
Leaving the others behind Garet, Ennwyn and Tzedaka moved through the copse of trees until they reached the vicinity of the smoke. Ennwyn sends Corwyn up to make out what they can from above.
Assuming we have at least made it to one of the outlying groves of trees without being detected. Banzo crouches down behind one of the trees and waits for a signal from the scouting party.

Tzedaka will try to creatively use her Thaumaturgy cantrip to dampen the noises of the group, and especially her noises with her half plate. She will try to amplify any natural noises in the area, wind, rumble of mountain, brush of the leaves on trees. In addition, she will make her eyes black, so that they do not catch any light. She will also use Guidance when we send someone ahead for stealth or perception. She has darkvision so seeing ahead isn't too much of an issue as it grows dark.

( Yeah, your all in cover.....can't make it too easy for the drago....Uh, anything that happens by.)

Corwyn returns to Ennwyn and cocks his head tapping seven times on her shoulder and giving a slightly odd panting croak.
Ennwyn turns to the other two, " Seven people.....and he doesn't like them."
Corwyn did a series of 90 degree hop-turns and a low morbid heckle.
" Looks like they have multiple watches set.....obviously not for birds."
" I don't think all three of us will get close enough to check their strength without being seen.....Garet do you feel up to it?"
Garet grins and removes his sun blade and twirls his dagger. "Seven to three" He begins to start before Corwyn tilts his head and gives him an unnerving look.
"Seven to four, hardly seems fair" should we let the others in to the party.
Garet thinks about balancing the odds "Perhaps I could sneak up there first to get a better look."
Putting the sun blade hilt back on its place on his belt, he keeps his dagger out and makes his way as stealthily as possible hoping that all the nights spent on Blacksands streets come back to him.
Tzedaka put Guidance on Garet before he leaves: (You touch one willing creature. Once before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one ability check of its choice. It can roll the die before or after making the ability check. The spell then ends.)
Garet sets off well rolling back the years but feels hampered by his armour but hopes the help that Tzedaka gave him is enough to see him through.

Garet manages to half crawl through the brush until he comes to the edge of a wide clearing well trodden with walking trails, in the centre is a large fire over which is roasting a large bird of some kind. Seated around it are an odd selection of figures:
- A lithe orc dressed in polished leathers with a bandolier of darts and two scimitars at his hips, he wears the symbol of Tanit, Queen of Envy on his brow.
-A heavily built dwarf with steel grey hair and white painted splint-mail, he wields a wicked axe and his face is heavily scarred. His beard braids are, for those knowledgable of such things, reminiscent of the clans of Mirewater.
- A pale human man in his fifties in garish red and black robes, he carries obvious marks of Chaos and his left eye is a roiling void of blood and tendrils. His right arm ends in a semi-independent outgrowth somewhat like both cockroach and squid.....he seems to be in charge even as he whispers inanely to himself.
- A feral looking man in rough woolen robes wielding a length of hardwood, his hair is unkempt and his face almost hidden in a large bushy beard, various shelf fungi grow all over the surface of his clothing and body and he has a hacking cough that id accompanied by clouds of soapy spores.
- A tall imposing knight in ivory coloured skull motif plate wielding an enormous greatsword with ease, his face-plate is a rictus death mask and he simply stares out into the woods in silence.
- A tall lanky bestial creature covered in grey-white tufted fur and wearing a long maille shirt, its head is goat-like but with hyena like teeth, the Chaos Beastman keeps watch in the other direction leaning on its hooked glaive.
- A fashionably dressed elven woman with a smirk and dark smoky makeup, Garet realises he has seen her before in Blacksand but he cannot recall her affiliation of name. She is drinking from a goblet filled with wine that hovers in the air before her and seems to be discussing their upcoming meal with the orc and the Chaos Cultist.
Garet echoing Corwyns thoughts that he didn't like the look of the party at all, reviewed his options.
There was no way that he could take a party like this head on, for all his bravado before to Tzedeka, on his best day he was only likely to take out three and these all looked individually his match. The fact they were here out in the open with a raging fire spoke for their confidence.
He could try nefarious means perhaps use of the poison but again the numbers seemed against him.
His best course of action he assumed was to return to the scouting party and then the group, with his recon and allows those with the gift of strategy come up with a plan.
Stealthily backing up he made his way back to his colleagues his old skills coming back to him more as he learned to compensate for his armour.
Tzedaka smiles at Banzo. "You are very wise. A plan for ven ve face Zagor would also be wise."
She thinks for a moment.
"I tink he vill be more powerful than he appears, and his powers vill be unnatural. He is not just a man, he may not even be a man....Inhuman."
She closes her eyes. "His power and evil vil tempt you, as power always is a temptation for de soul."
"His allies vil also be corrupted vith Eveel and Darkk Magic."
Ennwyn offers to scout ahead unless someone else feels they are more suitable.
Tzedaka smiles at her, "I go with you, Eennwynn of the forest, keeper of the thistle. Will Corwyn join us?"
"I'll go too." Garet says although woodland wasn't his natural habitat, his stealthy nature and keen eyes would be an asset.
"Perhaps we could get some sparring on the way." Garet says wryly looking at Tzedaka, remembering the practice mace swings from earlier.
"Be careful, whoever is responsible for that fire must know it can be seen for miles."

Then she looks at the group before leaving as she has an idea.
"I can make signal of bright light if ve need halp"
"Maybe I can make different color for come and see and halp??"
"That's a good idea Tzedaka. How many colors can you do?"
Addressing the group.
"Anybody have a strategy or a few tactics they think might be useful for when we face Zagor?"
"All colors, but I don't know naames. You show me, I can make color."
"Zagor I tink is warlock, cast spells." She looks at the Tortle. "I can make area silent, dispel his power, hold chim, or just hit with my light."
She considers, "If he has, how you say, meenieons, keel chim if he is not already dead, and maybe they leave?"
(OOC: She has all cleric spells if she prepares: level 1-3. Could prepare Magic circle, Glyph of Warding, Fast friends (would be interesting), etc.)
