Garet motioned to Tannin, the Dragonmans comment about the poison glands set off a suspicion in him.
Having spent his formative years in the Thieves Guild he had learnt much about poisons and their practical uses. Garet had been observing their companion during the battle and the nature of his strike although aided by the magic had all the hallmarks of an anatomical sneak attack preferred by Thieves the world over. What bothered Garet more was the Dragonmans technique was better than his own hinting at longer study.
Garet determined to learn more, beckoned Tannin over and once he was by the corpses mainly out of the sight of others he drew the Thieves Cant sign for friend in the blood of the fallen beasts and looked at Tannin meaningfully knowing that their new companions mind skills would keep their conversation private.
Garet still gripped the hand of his blade, there was a small possibility that this man was an assassin sent by the Kobassi brothers and joining the party was just a ruse so that he could observe Garet and strike when he least expected but even they wouldn't put such a complex scheme in play, or would they.
Tzedaka as always, watches her friends. She notes the strange worms undigested items and poison sacks. She watches as each of the group works together to achieve their greater goal, and thinks about each heroes weaknesses (Fame, fortune, power, distrust, insecurity, vanity, fear...) and how the clever Shakor will use these against them. She still has a lot of work to do to get them prepared. She cleans herself off and studies the remains of the armadillo.
Tannin replies mentally to "Yes friend, but I have no guild. I was taught in Khul as a duelist amongst other skills in necessities to survive, by a master." Tannin stops noting the placement of Garet'shand he shakes his head in disapproval, and rejoins the others.
Garet sighed inwardly, he felt Tannin was geniune and his actions so far had gone a long way to prove this, but Garet struggled to let go of his past his caution had many a time saved his life.
But deep down he knew that anger and fear lead you down a dark path and that path may consume you over time and this was not the life he wanted.
He looked over at the tattoo and wondered how much it was influencing him, was the presence of the new cleric mitigating its dark reach he hoped so. With a thought he willed the blade out of existence and attached the hilt to his belt.
Determined to try and mitigate the situation Garet pulled together the treasure he found, passed the ring to Banzo to see if he could tell if it were magical. Dispersed the gold amongst everyone but came to Tannin with the poison sacks, opening up his mind he said.
"I meant no disrespect I grew up on the street of Blacksand and find it hard to trust anyone, but your actions mark you as brave and honorable and I must treat you as such." He handed over the poison sacks nothing shows contrition like the gore covered poison sack of a giant worm.
Garet cursing his lack of storage, "I have no such sacks perhaps we could extract the venom, and decant it into a waterskin carrying the sacks even in sacks may bring predators," He says looking at the gore covered items.
Banzo will begin to ritual cast Detect Magic to determine if the ring is magical.
"This should take less than a quarter of an hour but it might prove worth it to know if it's magical in nature or not."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"This ring is magical. It's a ring of feather falling."
Banzo holds the ring out and up for the others to see.

Camp is made in a hollow for the evening after a few more hours travel, and though watches are kept there are no issues during the night.
Striking camp the companions set off again across the Northern Pagan Plains with Firetop appearing in the haze to the east and becoming stark as they approached it.
ls late in the afternoon when Firetop Mountain at last comes into full view, its former fiery-red peak now a deathly black. You can see a series of hollows and ravines at the foot of the south face of the mountain. Firetop Mountain looks menacing, the steep southern face in front of you looks as if it has been savaged by lhe claws of some gargantuan beast.
Groves of trees are scattered about the base of the mountain and grey smoke curls into the sky from one of them....
Tzedaka will take some of their free time to ask Herman and Garet if they will help her learn how to use a Mace and Shield that she took from the dead priest of Libra. She will also continue her study of random rocks, plants, animals that she finds along the way.
As usual, she is very curious and excited when she finds new things, and it seems, everything is new. She runs to a tree she has never seen, picks up a shiny rock, finds a small mouse to be fascinating.
At night by the fire, she will occasionally unconsciously hum a tune. Each one she hums sounds familiar, and those gifted in music will recognize the tunes and rhythms as ones that the bard Zeltheris had performed. She sounds like she has heard these tunes many times, like common nursery songs from when she was young. Perhaps she hums them to help her go to sleep at night.
"We haven't really discussed our plans for getting to the top of the mountain. Climbing seems unnecessarily dangerous especially for a bunch of untrained climbers but we do have the gear, a ring, and at least one of us can fly."
Banzo allows for a moment of thought among his allies before continuing.
"If we can find some of those tunnels we've heard rumors of that might be an alternative option."
At least for the moment Banzo finishes with.
"And of course there's that smoke. If we think it's from those meant to guard against the approach of unwanted visitors do we want to avoid them by sneaking past via the various groves of trees, or should we head straight there and deal with them directly?"

Garet is unable to identify which organ is which among the mess but his deft hand is able to remove all of them without too many issues.
After half an hour or so and an increasing cloud of anxious carrion birds above the companions manage to retrieve from the Worms:
- 150 gold worth of nuggets mixed with the half eaten remains of some miners.
- a silver ring marked with clouds and serpentine chips. If examined magically-

- 45 silver and 23 copper coins along with some metal rings and buckles from a bridle and reins.
- many, many half digested moles, prairie dogs, lizards and armadillos.
- 6 large....rather delicate poison glands that jiggle dangerously.
