"Look," he says, " The boss knows more than I do, but we're worried. People have gone missing, and those who went to look for them went missing too. The guild had to stop production, and we provide most of the lumber here. No lumber, no ships, no ships, and...well...life becomes harder for folk here." he says genuine worry and a tinge of fear for the future.
The dwarf looks at Erdot, "Your the druid ya," she asks, "What do you know about the Fengari druids?"

"Intriguing. Well assuming this isn't just some particularly hungry local fauna or flora out there that certainly raises quite a few more questions. But I'll save them for your bosses instead of bothering you with them."
The dwarf looks at Erdot, "Your the druid ya," she asks, "What do you know about the Fengari druids?"
Erdot is initially surprised by hearing that name. "I have... heard of the Fengari." He wracks his brain for some information his mother or the Old Druid had told him.
"Yes," She says, "The Fengari where kind, and worked with us to help the town and the forest. Ever since awhile ago, contact with the Fengari has ended. We planted a tree for every tree we cut down in remembrance of them. However, about a week ago one of our loggers went missing. We sent out a search party, but they went missing as well. We have sice ceased operations in the forest until the problem can be solved. This is a problem though, as we are the primary suppliers of lumber in this town. If we stop supplying lumber, then ships cant be built or repaired, and the town suffers. You are to found out what is causing problems in the forest, deal with it, and as a personal request to this quest." She stops as she reaches into her bag, pulling out a medium sack. "This is full of holly and other things," she says, "this will be all you need to make an offering to the Fengari, please it might help solve some of the things ailing the forest."
((Can I suggest that we move from here to the Forest sometime in the next DM post? There's really not much for us in the second carriage to do other than pensively glower at each other while the convo in the front is taking days between exchange.))

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
The carriages come to a sudden stop. The doors are opened, and you are revealed a breathtaking sight. A beautiful lush green forest, with a strong wind pushing out from it, along with a strong river coursing out of the forest and around the town, presumably ending in the ocean. The river is a sparking blue, with a odd tinge of green. On the bank of the river, there are two buildings, a sawmill and a small field office. About 30 feet from the buildings are 5 tents, leftover from the loggers. The edge of the forest has holly stumps doting the edge about every 5 feet. Though near those stumps are fresh tree saplings. As you are taking in this view, the carriages doors shut, and they begin to drive away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Looking around, Karst scrunches his snout slightly at the greenish tinged water. Something doesn't seem right about it but he's not entirely sure what.
"Water weird." He grumbles, lumbering over towards the stream to take a closer look.
((I'm not really sure whether Nature, Survival, or Perception would be needed here, but to maybe help save on time, I'll toss up all three and we'll go with whichever Finny decides.))

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."

((Eugh, I don't want to know what my other roll was.))
Erdot, you remember that they are a druid tribe that would accept all who would join them, and they would work with towns a lot too.

Erdot takes the medium sack, and places it into his backpack. "Yes ma'am, I won't fail you, or the Fengari."

Stepping out of the carriage, Jocelyn will use Divine Sense to see if the area was desecrated (and if there are any fiends or undead within 60ft).

Karst thinks hard about water...the water...has some green color. Karst is proud for realizing this. ((Jocelyn you don't sense anything))

Karst shouts over his shoulder back towards the party.
"Friend Folwyn! Water has green like giant marsh snake sick on too many sea snails!"
