(well not like there are any flammable objects within the area, other than maybe the floor, luckily it is concentration so as soon as the mistake is realized the mistake can be corrected by immedeatly ending the spell)
(also mechanicallty, the magic 5 ft cube of warm must be like on top of the floor, or rather above it, i dont think it would be as useful if part of the area of the spell was underneath the ground? in that manner even if the floor is flammable it is not within the cube and therefor it should hopefully be fine. Or it will not be fine. That is also a possibillity.)
(wait we are indoors correct?)
seeing other peoples reactions to magically lighting an fire indoors, Tek decides to immedeatly cancel the spell
anyways Tek turns arround, and reaches out his hand so that it may be shaken anyways my name is Tek, and i am what other people seem to call an adventurer. No idea what that means but i like the sound of it, nice to meet you all

oh blood, i happen to know a lot about blood, or rather i know how to do a lot with blood. Mostly blood curses and fire however. I see you too have that weird white stuff all over you (tek has never seen snow), you take a single short nap and all of a sudden the entire world is frozen solid apparently
Gimble quickly looks to where the human woman was looking. Gimble will make note of the direction so when they go back out, she can get a look at what is above this room. Gimble also takes a quick look around the room again noting any other doors or entryways. If there are no doors, she will note if stairs are present. ((Fortunately all the fire hubbub happens behind Gimble so she really doesn't notice it. About how large is the room we are in? Are there other doors or entryways, stairs upstairs perhaps?? Gimble is slight even for a gnome, she seems like a small girl with blonde, almost platinum colored hair. However, when she speaks her light voice carries a confidence that only comes with experience. ))
As people enter the room, wave at them halfheartedly.
After the woman mentions her sister, Gimble turns back to her and in a upbeat voice, "your sister sounds lovely. I would love to meet her. You mentioned a map before. Could I get a map? I want to mark down where to meet this tailor you mentioned before as well as where I could meet your sister, Lia."
seeing as how nobody answered his questions, he goes up to the clerck and rather blutly asks meatbag, would you happen to know where i am and what that weird, white, cold and damp substance outside is called?
(note, while not strong by the standards of a typical barbarian, he is a fair bit stronger than the typical commoner and his head fin makes him seem taller than he is)
From the back of the room Xanorin says, “Manners Tek, no need to start insulting the nice lady. This land is plagued by a blizzard and with blizzards, come snow. Seeing as you just arrived, once you start “adventuring” you will get used to it rather quickly.”
he turns arround ah, so this stuff is called snow? would you be so kind as to tell me where i am? am i still in vividwest? i dont think i have felt this cold anywhere else on the island, or on any of the other islands i have manage to accidentally find myself on it seems. And now that i am here, what might i be able to do here in such a cold place?.
Gimble looks at Tek and the takes a quick step back from him. "The tribes of this land are much different then I am familiar with. Hello, I am Gimble and it seems that this blizzard is a recent occurrence." She looks around the room and notices now that she is not alone. "Good day to you all. It seems now that the young lady is warmed a bit. You all can ask her your questions now."
Gimble will purchase a map and begins to talk to the woman again. "Now, can you please point out where this tailor is?" After she does that, Gimble asks, "You mentioned that I might be interested in meeting your sister Lia, how would I go about that?"
(i actiually have not decided his gender/ sex, he might be male he might not be, he might not even have genitals (something that ought to remain a mystery), but for convenience i will refer to him with maskuline pronouns because it is easier)
are there any notable activities that i can do while in town? perhaps some kind of activity that involves combat or whatever?
Tek takes out some fancy-looking sea shells and places two on the table this enough to buy a map? Are there any things in particular you can do here in town?
The cleric looks overwhelmed by all the questions being asked at one time, not responding for a few seconds "Uh... The. tailor is. somewhere. in the. plaza." "Lia's house should be somewhere on Main Street, I don't remember her address, but I know it's at an intersection. She um... usually goes to the plaza to sing when she isn't busy" --turns to Tek-- "Sorry, we don't accept sea shells." "Well, there's the Battle Tournament tomorrow, the... chapel whose name I don't remember is commonly visited by priests, its a very holy site, and the Scarlet Inn should be right over there" she points out the door at a red brick building "I know it is especially cozy and warm for this cold weather."
You nearly slip walking on the cobblestone a few times, but you make it to the inn unharmed. You enter into a dining area, several large round tables made of wood scatter the room very closely together. A stage sits on the west side of the room decorated with fake vines and a mural to make it look like a forest. A bar is at the back of the room with the bartender being a fairly large half-orc, however, the bar is packed. A staircase up to the rooms is next to the bar with a tabaxi standing by it.
Xanorin walks up to the Tabaxi and says, “Excuse me, can I buy a room for a few nights? I don’t actually know how long I’ll be staying but there’s a lot of newcomers so I’m hoping to reserve a room before they’re gone.”
“You must run a very fine establishment for those prices. I’ll give you 1 (Insert GP Equivalent Here) for two nights.” After paying for the room he’ll head over to the bar and pay for some food and drink (emphasis on the drink). He’ll just wait for the rest of the others to catch up with him, mostly because he finds them interesting.

Cyst enters the room swearing aloud
Bloody...the corpse of... my name is Cyst and, damn, I'd shake hands but I cannot feel them
shaking the snow off his horny helmet.
Cyst is a sturdy warrior in his late twenties, with black hair and moustahces, a horny helmet and a spear he uses as a walking staff.
They who know him a little know that he is a smartass, sometime egoist but very friendly if there is no money involved.
He is good at fighting but he plays well even in smuggling and the like.
(ooc: anyway, what is Tek? made of tek wood? race? male or female?...mistery)

Cyst pays attention to the questions the (MALE CALLED TEK, WHOSE RACE WE STILL DON'T KNOW) asked.
While waiting for the woman to provide a map
,
"These maps are not free, but they are cheap maps of Port City. Only 2AT (Amethyst Tokens replace Copper Pieces) per map."
(OOC: I'm having a hard time finding the actual maps for this campaign, so it may take a while for me to pull them up)
When Tek asks where we are Xanorin points to the map being presented.
Gimble looks at Tek and the takes a quick step back from him. "The tribes of this land are much different then I am familiar with. Hearing where the inn is located Xanorin leaves the building and heads over to purchase a room.
