White Plume Mountain has tentatively been identified as the “feathered mound” mentioned in the poem. Sages further agree that the “K” signature refers to Keraptis, but most insist that the writer must be an impostor. After all, who can believe the note really comes from the magician of legend after 1,300 years? The former owners of Wave, Whelm, and Blackrazor
have each outfitted a group of intrepid heroes to take up the challenge. Your party is one of those groups.
When Riikan Dack, a wealthy collector of rare art objects, hired you to recover a weapon stolen from his vault, he offered your group 12,000 gp—a reward sizable enough to dissuade you from asking too many questions. He showed you the boastful note left by the thief—supposedly an ancient wizard named Keraptis—and told you that his sources had pinpointed your destination (the “feathered mound” named in the note) as a volcanic peak called White Plume Mountain. Days later, you found yourselves scaling the south slope of the mountain. You soon located an entry tunnel leading into the rock and emerged in a cave that actually seemed to breathe, exhaling a large cloud of steam and then slowly inhaling again, like a man breathing on a cold day.

There are some race/class restrictions. Race is all basic races plus Dragonborn, Tiefling and Drow. Classes are only the basics. No home brew, critical role, play test, magic, eberron or rick and morty. You are welcome to use a character you already have. If you are creating one it will be standard array or point buy with average HP. You can choose 1 uncommon and 2 rare magic items. Also 2 uncommon potions. Any mundane equipment is available.
(This is a short module with some unique magic, good puzzles, traps and tricks and some hard encounters along the way)

When you say "no extra sources," are you referring to PHB only or just no homebrew/UA?
No home brew, critical role, play test, magic, eberron or rick and morty. Sorry for not clarifying that.

Awesome, are we allowed to start with any extra equipment? Additionally, are you firm on standard array only or is point buy alright?
Point buy is OK. You will be starting with extra gear, pretty much any mundane items are available. You can choose 1 uncommon and 2 rare magic items. Also 2 uncommon potions. I'll update the original post.

One defining personality trait: much like someone speaks common as a second language, Ru takes moments to stutter through her words, sometime speaking other languages or chirping like wildlife.

Duel wielder feat - added long sword instead of short sword.

Yes you could do lesser magic items. Maybe 3 total magic items not to exceed 1 uncommon and 2 rare would have been a better way to say it :)

I don't mind alight healing party. It just means we have to be more cautious and manage our resources. It'll also help if everyone grabs a healing potion.
