If anyone inside is a mercenary I should recognize them with my background. If someone is, Murgen will walk up to them and ask them, "So what are you doing in this godforsaken city? Where are my manners? Names Murgen of the Grey Wolves Company."
If there is no one Murgen recognizes He follows Ingrace to the innkeeper and says, "Give me what ever is the strongest you got." He will then look around, keeping an eye out for weapons or anyone acting shifty (Perception 9)
Dench watches the others move around the room. He'll stay fairly close to the entrance, not so close the half-ogre might talk to him, but close enough he can back up any of the others if need be. He will look back into the corners of the room, looking for hallways of stair cases, places where there might be other ways in or out of the room: Perception: 7
Tabitha walks with Ignace (and potentially Murgen) to the innkeeper, but she doesn't order. She turns to her companions, "I'll be nearby, wave me over when we find her," Tabitha is going to walk over to the card game and take a seat nearby to watch.

Ignace The barkeep, the owner of the tavern, Alan Alyth, is a half-elven man, and you can tell from his pointy ears. He looks to be about 30-40 years old, though he is probably much older with his elven heritage.
You see he eyes the silver coin, then turns to you again, giving you a sideways look. His eyes dart to the silver, then back to you. You hear him whisper, “Just one?”
Murgen Alan turns around, gets a bottle, pours a bit into a shot-glass and hands it to you. Before you take the shot, you look around. You can see some doorways to small rooms, but other than that you don’t notice anything. There are no mercenaries you can recognize.
Dench The crowd of patrons is too dense. You can’t see anything of use or out of the ordinary.
Tabitha Right as you sit down at the table, the cards are gathered and put away. The human woman looks to you. “Well, hello there. My friends and I were about to get into a game of Baldur’s Bones. Would you like to join us?”
Seeing the card game finish up, Murgen limps over and asks, "How much to join my friends?" He pulls out a gold coin and flips it back and forth between his fingers.
Dench will step back toward the half-ogre standing on one side of the door. In Common, he'll say, "Crowded tonight. Have you seen Tarina by chance? Where is she?"
Ignace Alan takes the 5 silver. “Upstairs. Probably playing Baldur’s Bones at a table. Girl’s got a talent for it.”
Murgen One of the men looks you up and down. “You got 2 more gold?” He, followed by the man next to him and the woman across from him, each place 3 gold pieces on the table, then push it into the middle of the table.
Tabitha The woman looks to you and Murgen. “Name’s Rahima. You two even know how to play Baldur’s Bones?”
Dench The half-ogre doesn’t pay any attention to you. Ignores you completely.
Ignace nods at the innkeeper, takes his ale and looks over to the others. Seeing Tabitha and Murgen engaged at a table, he goes over to Dench. "Upstairs, come". He starts going up the stairs. If Tabitha or Murgen looks over his way he points upwards.
Pulling out two more gold coins, Murgen chuckles, "Expensive game ya got here."He pulls out his pipe and begins to rub it for good luck and sizes up his competition.
Baldur’s Bones. Baldur’s Bones is a popular dice game in the taverns of Baldur’s Gate. Each player requires several six-sided dice. The rules are as follows:
Each player puts the agreed ante in the pot.
Each player rolls three dice. Play then proceeds clockwise around the table, with the host of the game going last.
On their turn, a player can choose to “stand” or “roll.” If the player stands, the next player can take a turn. A player who rolls takes an additional die and rolls it. If the total of their dice exceeds 21, they “bust” and are out of the game. Otherwise they can keep rolling additional dice until they either stand or break.
After everyone has had a turn, the highest point total (excluding players who busted) wins the game and takes the pot.
It’s basically blackjack with dice.

Ignace You go up the stairs. If Dench goes with you, I’ll add him here.
When you get to the upper floor, you find yourself in a dimly lit room. The lanterns seem to be creating a relaxing mood for the tavern’s patrons. The lanterns, you see, are hanging down from the ceiling. You notice that there are rugs covering the wooden floorboards, probably to block out the sound of drunk customers below.
You see two large tables where people are gathered, playing Baldur’s Bones. You hear the occasional cheer as one of them wins the pot for the round.
Dench coughs at the half-ogre. "Hmm," he says. But he spots Ignace. "Thanks for the help!" he says to the half-ogre and follows Ignace upstairs. He'll also look around the room for Tarina: 23.
If the perception check is not successful, he moves close enough to the long, western table that he can hear the names of the players. He'll also note any open doors and look for people coming in or out of them.
Dench Well, you got a nat20. You didn’t exactly have a physical description of Tarina to go off of, but I’ll say you definitely hear someone curse out. “Damn it, Tarina. How do you keep screwing us over? Take your pot and get the hell out of here!” You see a human woman stand up, shovel the gold earnings into a small bag, and leave the table.
Tabitha and Murgen Since the first round is just 3 d6 rolls, I’ll do it for Tabitha.
Rahima will roll 1, 2, 3, 6. That’s a bust. Marvin will roll 3, 6. He stands. Ethan will roll 2, 6, 6. That’s a bust. It’s Murgen’s turn. You get to roll as much as you want, just stop when you think it’s too risky.
If anyone inside is a mercenary I should recognize them with my background. If someone is, Murgen will walk up to them and ask them, "So what are you doing in this godforsaken city? Where are my manners? Names Murgen of the Grey Wolves Company."

Ignace looks around the room to find Tarina. (ooc: there are 2 separate tables if I understood correctly.) perception if needed: 4
Characters:
Nute Kenku Druid - War of the Faithless
Ignace Miltorn Aasimar Paladin - Descent into Avernus
Ignace and Dench know Tarina is somewhere on the second floor, but not her exact location. Since you’ve seen the second floor, here is the floor plan:
Dench coughs at the half-ogre. "Hmm," he says. But he spots Ignace. "Thanks for the help!" he says to the half-ogre and follows Ignace upstairs. He'll also look around the room for Tarina: 23.
If the perception check is not successful, he moves close enough to the long, western table that he can hear the names of the players. He'll also note any open doors and look for people coming in or out of them.

Nicely done. If Tabitha also gets 21, you split the prize (15g)
