Nevitash will touch his forehead and stare at the Bishop keenly. He had not tried to touch the mind of any other creatures outside his Circle thus far. He only hoped that this Bishop would find it as unnerving as his friends used to find it. He forms a mind link with the Bishop and says deep inside his mind. "Trust me, you do not want this trouble. Let the woman go and return to your home, or there will be consequences. GO NOW!!!"
Valar grunts in annoyance, brushes past the group, and runs through the scattering crowd, shoving anyone who blocks his path, seeking to get a good vantage point on the bishop. "Curse the plan." He mumbles. His right hand strays to his belt, fingers twitching from adrenaline.
(Initiative when needed: 11 )
(If he gets a good view of the bishop.)
Valar draws his pistol with lighting speed, and aims through the crowd for the bishop's greedy head. BANG, he fires. (Attack: 8 Damage: 8)
(OOC: Sorry if everyone wanted to take the cautious approach.)
"FOOLS! DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS MAN! HE SERVES NO GOD BUT HIMSELF AND HIS COFFERS! HE DOES NOT BURN THIS WOMAN BECAUSE SHE IS A WITCH! NO, HE BURNS HER BECAUSE SHE IS IN HIS WAY! IF YOU ARE TRUE TO THE GOD OF THE CANDLE, TURN FROM HIM NOW! LEAVE HIS SERVICE, PROTECT THIS BLESSED GIRL, AND BRING HIM DOWN!"

As the shot rings out, it is thankfully masked as another peal of thunder, though the disguised Father Wilbur knows better, as he did not create that one.

Oltheris takes off after Valar, running toward the girl they have tied up. He attempts to pick up the girl, throw her over his shoulder, and dash off. (Athletics check 17) The hand postions itself near the feet of the large fellows, preparing to trip them up if possible.

“Curse my living soul . Why is it always like this?”, I’yar mutters to hmself in annoyance as he attempts to find his way on top of a roof to get a better view of the bishop and conceal himself properly after the shot.
Jak: There are four clerics. They possess no magical capabilities, aside from the Bishop himself.
Nevitash: The Bishop turns and looks you straight in the eye, somehow identifying you amidst the chaos. "There are magics stronger than your petty mind tricks, dreamborn!" He laughs.
Aragon: Your bullet whistles past the head of the Bishop as he addresses Nevitash. The man doesn't even blink.
Father Wilbur: Your voice is drowned out by the yells and screams of the scattering mob, and your words go unheeded in the confusion.
Oltheris: Two heavy men in clerical robes step between you and the accused witch, barring your path with warhammers.
I'yar: You clamber up a drainpipe and onto the shingled roof of a small shop. You have a clear shot of the Bishop from this vantage point.
Makariy: With the skill of a born hunter you navigate the dispersing mob, always keeping a couple bodies between you and the Bishop's field of vision. You crouch behind an overturned cart, only five feet away from the Bishop.

The mob cowers before the apparition, but the bishop and the clerics in the crowd are not so easily impressed.
“Fools!” Hollers the Bishop as men and women begin to scatter, “This is an imposter! The witch must be burned, and this one with her!”
For a few brief seconds, the night stands still, a silence of uncertainty and expectancy. Now is the time to act!
(Initiative, for whenever we get into that 18)
Jak watches the crowd disperse. He is ready to help, if needed. He wonders how the best way to deal with this with the least violence would be.

(Not good for my first attack roll.)
Five percent of the people think; ten percent of the people think they think; and the other eighty-five percent would rather die than think.
