Lamlis's dagger barely misses damaging the creature, hitting hard tooth instead of flesh.
OOC: By moving away, you will provoke an opportunity attack (can't disengage since you've used your action to attack) Confirming this is what you want to do?
((OOC probably getting off work here in a minute when it gets to my turn if its still up and kicking Elias will join the melee with his warhammer swinging one handed with a shield on. Also is wife's birthday tomorrow so won't be around this weekend.))
Alban's blade cuts deep into the mimic, the monster shrieking in pain. It is clearly near the end of its life with the thorough beating the party has given it.
Lamlis begins a slow chant and a slight breeze begins to flow around him. His clothes and hair begin to rustle as a stronger wind seems to encircle him. He swings his left arm, pointing at the mimic, as three bolts of what look like lightning streak out, striking the mimic.
He then flies into the air, as if riding the wind and lands about 10 feet away from the creature. (I am using tempestuous magic. As a bonus action, I can fly up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. I wish to land next to Elias, right of him)
Lamlis’s magic missiles blast into the creature with a resounding crackle. The mimic releases one last shriek before collapsing into a formless ooze, quite dead. Combat over.
"I'm fine. He barely missed me. It looked like he grabbed onto you pretty rough though. You ok?" Lamlis sheathes his dagger and walks over to take a look at the corpse. "I've never seen anything like that."
Alban inspects his armor, making sure that the mimic didn’t damage it. ”It didn’t make it through my armor. I might have a bruise underneath, but I’ll be fine,” he tells Lamlis.
"If you guys wanna stay with the body, I'll go back to that guard post and have him get the Tinkerers over here." Lamlis heads in the direction of the guard manning the crossbow contraption that they passed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Alban nods. "I'll keep an eye out for trouble while you alert the guard. It doesn't look like these things hunt in packs, but you never know," Alban says.

Alban wipes the mimic’s blood off his sword before sheathing it. ”Is everyone okay?” he asks.
