As Jorah continues to work on the lock mechanism. Ser Knewt checks on his companions to determine if any of them were harmed in the confrontation with the crowmen. He says to the group during his follow up with them, "Truly the fates were kind and while we haven't found the one we sought, we were able to save this poor soul. We shall spirit him away and ourselves fore the guard arrive with their questions. Yes?" He continues to check with his comrades treating any minor abrasions or wounds with his mundane skill and any serious wounds with magical aid, should he find any. Afterwards he says, "Perhaps our new acquaintance can tell us more when we are safely away from this festering den of death, murder, and torture."

Davik smiles at Ser Knewt, “Well said my friend. Yes, we must get out of here!”.
Davik glances round at Jorah and the team, “Jorah, can you get it open? We must make haste...”.
He turns to Duncan, “Duncan, do you recall where we stopped off earlier, at my place? Take half the group back there by a winding route. I’ll do the same with the other half in a different direction and we’ll meet outside. I can get us all in, to lay low. We can rest and get some food. And talk more to our new friend.... Unless anyone has any better ideas? Come on! Let’s get moving!...”.
Unless there are any objections, Davik nods to the nearest, and leads them out towards The Pits, keeping to the shadows but moving swiftly and keeping an eye out for unwanted attention.
Ser Knewt says, "The Spires of the Morning would welcome us all should we need it. I'm afraid my quarters would not be sufficient for our group; but we would be given shelter and receive treatment for any wounds as well.”
If that appeals to the group, Ser Knewt would guide them there otherwise he would follow Davik's plan and stay close to whichever group the prisoner was in.

Amidst all the confusion and close besides him, Even’s voice cuts through faintly, but his concern is clear. Davik turns in time to see his haunted face and catches his last few words before he turns to leave...
Davik tries to reach for the man’s wrist before he goes... (straight dex check?: 5 )
It’s no good, he’s gone before he can react. He calls out to the man. Just one word: “Even?...”. (Charisma persuasion check?: 14 )
He watches as he leaves. “Damn it...”. He turns back to the group...
Davik, looks about the group. He’s glad he got more gold up front that’s for sure! This was slipping sideways fast...
He turns back to Knewt, “The Spires are too far, we have to get off the streets now! You and the captive, with me, now... anyone else coming? Now, we gotta go. Duncan, bring the others if you can”.
With that (assuming they’re willing), Davik starts back towards The Pits in the Docks Ward, with Knewt, Renaer, and whoever else is ready.

Ser Knewt follows Davik and stays close to the weakened prisoner occasionally offering a steadying hand to keep him moving along at Davik's rushed pace. After they are several blocks away, Ser Knewt says, "Davik we need to slow down. Renear can't safely maintain this pace. He is weakened from his ordeal. We are safe for now. I need to be sure none of his wounds have reopened. Give me a few moments."

Ser Knewt busies himself fussing over the wounds of the prisoner and making sure he drank from Ser Knewt's offered waterskin. After being sure that Renear was okay to continue, Ser Knewt paused to listen to signs of pursuers.

After being certain that it was safe to resume their flight, Ser Knewt nods to Davik. He says, "Lead on friend, Davik. Lead on.”
