"Bubbles the Barbarian" (Locathah - Lvl 9) - Locathah Rising; Shai'ere Delatete (Githyanki Monk - Lvl 9) Rrakkma (deceased - MindFlayer); Saros Rockfoot (Deep Gnome Diviner - Lvl 5) - The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above; Tagret (Goliath Barbarian - Lvl 2) - Tales of Faerun;
OOC: Question - On the presumption that there is not much cover available does it like the best could fit into the house with ease or would it struggle?
If we are planning to try to kill this beast then I think we should contemplate whether we can get ourselves into the house/tower so that we are not exposed. Someone with a high decption bonus could see if it will tell us what it is after and then offer to go get it or the woman (deception). Once inside we could opt to attack it with a bit of cover on offer...might even the playing field a bit.
Alternatively we could use the distance to take as many ranged attacks as possible. Given that it looks injured we may have a fighting chance...(Question - can we gage how hurt the beast is from its wounds?)
In addition, we should also consider what buffs the spellcasters can use to give us a better chance (eg shield of faith for AC boost for Grim, Conn or Jonah and then maybe bless on same three... I think this may be a difficult beast to take on at 1st level if we all want to survive so we should take advantage of everything we have....
(I have shield of faith and guidance that I can use to buff. Ines is a support. Buffs will always be my top priority spells unless someone is hurt then I will heal. I will only attack after these, and usually by spell or distance.
Also,I was trying to speak with it maybe reason with it. No idea if it'll work)

Speaking with it may work.

Ooc: To clarify: Jonah is not intended to be a fighter in the first place, but more utility with little support (he will get a level in trickery cleric in addition to magic initiate) later levels will get him more fighting capabilities. He is not your typical „dtay in the shadow and assassinate“ rogue but more a bit sherlocky
Ooc: I'd prefer not to waste too much time strategizing ooc, pbp is slow enough as it is and I'd rather decide on my own what to do. Plus, 1v6 that creature has no chance due to action ecomony, unless its stats are inflated. And it looks hurt.

Are we waiting on someone now?
OOC: What he said, the thing wouldn't last 3 rounds vs you guys even with full HP it would end up running away. Sure, some of you might go down but you have a cleric that would be able to keep you guys up (Healing word one, move to another, healer's hit the second.)

((Sorry just got off of work. For people who are trying to strategize, if I get within 30 ft I can cast Bane on the creature I also have ranged cantrips))
Taraven is rather curious about the creature and will move toward the creature at her max speed of 30ft.
Ooc: The Monstrosity will reply to Ines at 10:00 central tonight. :D sorry for the delay but a man must work. Gotta make that money for the source books nah meen

Ines shrugs. "Perhaps it means healing." Towards the beast she says. "Do you need healing? I could heal you if you swore to leave this woman and all the people of Phandalin in peace. None shall be your meal."

Keep in mid that these creatures are not smart or charismatic.
Grimadim also asertained from his survival check that this monstrosity is more injured than normal and defiantly has spikes missing.

(Here is a piece of my last post to the beast)
. "It seems there is already a problem," she says loudly and confidently as she can muster. "Why are you threatening this woman?"

OOC: Re are we waiting for something. ..
Inez did attempt to speak to it and it has not yet replied - waiting on Revel to resolve how it reacts and see whether a dialog starts with Inez.
Also note that Grim has some information from his nature check but may not have shared that information with the group yet.
Of course someone could just act and we will be rolling initiative......

I know I didn't reply because Taraven should also get a chance to have a turn.

She won't attack until someone else does.
