DM - A Quest for the Shunned City (Groups 1 and 2)
Character: Johan Nalo, male Race: Aarakocra Class: Monk
Backstory: He was born into a small cult, where he chose to sell his soul to the dæmons they summon. They used to travel as nomads, getting what they want through their dæmons terrorizing or killing people. He once was trapped in a summoning ritual, and transported to a strange new world. (This one.)
Ferro Wright, Human Artificer Backstory: Ferro is a manufacturer of wagons, carts and other wheeld ways of transportation. Now with the technology advancing further and further he is inspired to build the ultimate vehicle and travels the world to gather technology to do so. (Simply said, he wants to build a car)
„Life is hard and then you die.“ In-the-dark-alley (Alley for short) certainly agrees. Having lost her parents to sickness and hunger she had been an urchin ever since, hardly scraping by in the streets of her homecity by theft and scavenging. But even that excuse of a life would be cut short by a group of lunatics capturing those who would not be missed, sacrificing them to some being or other they not even bothered to name to their victims. However Alley would have to expand on the aforementioned saying, adding that, apparently, when you die you might meet a strange and scary woman in the afterlife, offering you a second chance at living as long as you enter her service. Having literally nothing to loose, Alley agreed. Certainly it could not be worse than what she had already gone through. And so she came back. It wasn’t a nice awakening, lying amongst corpses ready to be put to rest in a mass grave. The undertaker however, being unnervingly unimpressed with people coming back to life, prove to be a pretty kind soul and somehow managed to get her a place in an orphanage. There she would grow up a lot more comfortable than she could have ever hoped, learning from her nameless patron and scraping together some coin from odd jobs. Now she feels ready to leave, following her patrons orders when given and otherwise her own devices.
Character: Mislynn Falanth Race: wood elf Class: Bard Backstory: Being a lone wood elf isn’t easy. After being abandoned by her own people after a misunderstanding, Mislynn was left to fend for herself. Stealing and scavenging in a port city where no one had seen an elf before, Mislynn was never trusted. Alone and hungry, Mislynn was sleeping in a supply crate on a particularly rainy night when the crate was loaded onto a ship. The crew of the ship locked her up in the brig as they traveled, until a pirate crew came and raided the ship. Though it was a unfortunate turn of events for the sailors, the pirate raid was the greatest thing that happened in Mislynn’s life. The pirate crew accepted Mislynn as one of their own, and slowly, Mislynn made her way up the ranks of the crew, until she became captain of The Tempest. Mislynn led her ship around the world, collecting jewels and gold along the way. Soon, the world began to call her Windsbane, the pirate queen. Mislynn became known all around the world, in some places as a villan, in others, a hero, and in others, nothing but a myth. After years of captaining The Tempest, Mislynn set off in search of new adventures.
Kotcherth Lancel St.Clair (Kotch) Human Fighter (Gunslinger)
While Kotch has mostly kept to himself within recent years, there are rumors floating about that he was once the heir to a massive fortune. A fortune built on the sale of fine wine and liquors, his surname 'St.Clair" can often be found on the label of most alcoholic beverages. As the rumor goes he was a spoiled brat from the day he was born, raised in want of nothing but desiring everything; So much that his spending drew the attention of his father and benefactor, August St.Clair.
August did not take kindly to how his son had turned out, recognizing his failure to set an example for the boy and show him what a days work is worth; In an attempt to reconcile this mistake. August cast Kotch out of the family home and denounced him as heir to the family fortune, forcing the young man to fend for himself for the first time in his life. There are other rumors floating around about the origins of Kotch but this one seems the most prevalent. Whatever the case, Kotcherth is a withdrawn and shrewd individual. Who often conspires with more shady individuals.
Born into privilege and power in the prestigious Val'Thaerys clan, young Sariel wanted for nothing. And yet, as the lone scion of an aging house, much was expected of her. When the girl took to devouring all kinds of knowledge, frustrating her tutors, her parents were irritated but still proud. When she developed an innate talent and quick grasp of spellcraft, her parents were concerned but supportive. When she left home at the unconscionable-to-elves young age of 17 to pursue her studies at the University, her family worried. Now, she has left the school, on work-study assignment for one of the researchers.
Her parents are apoplectic.
Oblivious to their suffering, Sariel knows only the desire to see, experience and - above all - read more things. That she perhaps doesn't keep her nose out of the book long enough to notice the world around her is perhaps not good planning on her part. That she leapt into a world more complicated than lecture halls and libraries with next to no preparation or natural talent for dealing with people is a worse oversight. The fact that she seems unaware of these gaps in her education may very well get her killed.
And that would be very inconvenient for her research plans.

Sariel Val'Thaerys (High Elf Wizard), Steam and Sky
Sebastian was born to some rather poor barkeeps. Lacking any sort of formal education, he took to the streets, learning the tricks of the trade from con artists, pickpockets, and street magicians, mixing elements of real magic with sleight of hand to dazzle his audience. His cons are as wild and varied as his imagination, whether he is selling a magical potion from a far off land that can cure any ailment, reading minds to guess a card, or simply dying that gentlemen’s fine bowler cap bright pink. He does try to avoid conning people in any real need, but he won’t feel too bad about slipping up and conning the wrong person. He has to eat too you know, and it is their fault for falling for it in the first place.
Recently Sebastian made the mistake of selling a bottle of local sewage water as a cure for the mumps. Unfortunately for him, they caught on when she got violently ill instead of getting better. He skipped town, and now has to make a new life for himself. Who know what the future has in store for him?

I'm considering playing a rogue loosely based on Twisted Fate from League of Legends.
