Name: Jotha DryBones
Race: Tortle
Class: Warlock ( Undying pact of the tome)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Background: Archeologist
Backstory: Jotha was a successful archeologist in his lifetime. He explored many ruins, tombs, and temples. However due to his short life span he could not truly stay and fully dedicate himself to in depth study of these ancient locations. Jotha knew his time was running short his lifespan of 50 years was coming to an end he knew he would have to travel back to Chult soon to mate and pass on his knowledge to the next generation. However he took one last expedition to an old tomb that he believed might hold the secret to extending his life span so that he could continue his research. The tomb was dedicated to a powerful old wizard who was able to extend his life span. Jothas expeditions yielded no results other than a strange book that was in a hidden chamber. This book was completely blank and no matter of magical means could discern what the book was. Depressed and defeated he returned home with the book as a souvenir of his last expedition. Jotha found his mate and had two children. Having relinquished all of his knowledge to his children and his mate passing away. Jotha's fear of his own demise intensified as he knew soon he would breathe his last breath. He traveled into the jungle at night and yelled out to the infinite blackness of the void to anything or anyone who could hear him. " I don't want to die, I dont want my flame to be extinguished. Please help me! I will do anything!" With that Jotha heard no answer. He went back to his hut and laid down. WhenJotha was a successful archeologist in his lifetime. After an hour or so the relic he found from the ancient tomb started to glow with un otherworldly light. Jotha was drawn to the relic and touched it. When he did he heard a voice in his head that said " I will grant your wish, but for a price. You will know the price in time. Do you consent to my rules?" The voice uttered. Jotha responded in a whisper " yes I accept." With that he felt power and vigor like he never felt before wash over him. With that he also lost all memory of who he was. Jotha immediately left his hut compelled to enter deep into the jungles of Chult to discover something once lost.
