Caradoc will head for Platon’s Potions, then to Saznoth Birakis

A quick 2 - 3 minute walk to the other side of the Outpost, Caradoc walks into the alchemist's shop. A wizened looking Leonid is behind the counter, carefully pouring the contents of one beaker into another as a small plume of smoke rises in a column up from his contraption and snakes around his face as if it were living. Without looking up, he says in a grizzled yet not unkind voice, "What can I do for you?"

“Well... I was hoping just to fix my shirt, but it seems sort of... beneath you. What sorts of things do you sell here?” Caradoc looks around pretty enthralled.

Once everyone else has left Grigori's, Aeneas steps up closer, eyes burning.  "Monsters come in many shapes," he begins, eyeing Grigori up and down.  "The Gods had a hand in all life, make no mistake, and they are watching.  What you feel free to judge - your choices, will be seen."

He looks at him a moment longer, then leaves to join the others.  He'll find a new crossbow elsewhere.

Neskaryn, the old Leonin that owns and runs Platon's Potions pauses what he's doing for a moment as if deciding how to answer. Then, still without looking up and now continuing what he was doing he says, "My boy, I sell many things, here. Most of them are potions, but I try not to limit myself. I could fix your shirt for you - 10 silver. Easy enough. I don't do your cleaning, though." Then, he looks up and his eyes pause on you a moment longer than you would have expected. The moment passes quickly and he walks up to the counter and reaches out his hand - which basically looks like compromise between a human hand and a lion's paw, "Let me go ahead and see that. I accept payment in advance, of course."

Grigori was clearly somewhat intimidated by you, but you can tell that you aren't changing anyone's heart today. 

Aeneas heads to Platon's Potions behind Caradoc to see if there's anything of use to him there.  Once he arrives, he greets Caradoc lightly and waits until the old Leonin is free.

Caradoc pays up and looks him over. “Do you ever do custom work? With say... Nyx monster bits? Valuable for a variety of things as I understand it.”

Caradoc greets Aeneas again as he comes in the door

Neskaryn notices Aeneas come in and nods in greeting so as to not interrupt Caradoc's question. But, as soon as Caradoc mentions "nyx monster bits" all of Neskaryn's attention is on Caradoc. "Did you say 'nyx' monster parts? Are you asking literally, or hypothetically?"

Aeneas nudges Caradoc a bit and interrupts with "Why does it matter?"

Caradoc reels it in a bit. “Hypothetically, of course. I’d heard of such things being found west of here recently, and grew curious about the real possibilities. So many people talk about them but so few actually -know- about them. You seem like a more educated man.”

"I wasn't being rude," Aeneas says with an emotionless face.  "What if it was literal?" he asks Neskaryn.

"Well, hypothetically speaking," Neskaryn says cautiously, "one could make very interesting things with a piece of nyx-born hide. I may or may not be such a one that has the knowledge to use such a material." Then, looking at Aeneas, he says, "if your friend here is literal, then we can discuss such specifics. But, keep in mind that we're talking about creatures that are touched by the gods. That kind of material is valuable."

What is Moneo doing, at this point? Has he joined Caradoc and Aeneas or has he made his way to the Drunken Cyclopse Tavern and Inn?

Aeneas insight check:  17 

Aeneas gets the feeling that the Neskaryn is holding some information back, but you're not sure whether it would be a good idea to pry or not. (Whatever you think your character would do.)

Moneo is for now sticking with the others. Though he could really use a pint right now, they seemed to have his back in the last shop, and one never quite gets used to that blatant of racism. He also would like something made from the Nyx material, but is happy to just listen for now.

Caradoc Insight 2 

"Right.  I guess we'll stick with the hypothetical then," Aeneas smiles looking at Neskaryn.  He turns as if ready to standby again, then looks back and says "Hypothetically, how much would a material like that go for?"

Caradoc doesn't pick up on the subtle muscle flinches in Neskaryn's face.

Thoughtfully, Neskaryn answers Aeneas by saying, "Depends on the condition of it, but I've seen it traded for 100 gold per yard. If you ever come across some, literally and not hypothetically, I would be very interested to find out."
