While the group is still in Mool’s chambers and while discussions were being made as to who is going where, Nivlen becomes more and more agitated and begins clawing at his chainmail. Those that are close enough would hear that he is muttering curses that sound goblinish. As he doffs the armor, his undershirt is raised and reveals many wounds (puncture and slashing) on his back, sides and stomach. This halfling has seen more than his fair share of injury. After he re-dons his weapons he asks Mool if he will safeguard his chainmail, should he have the good fortune to retrieve it later.
Ooc: Sorry if I’ve been missing interactions. Most of these posts happen overnight for me so I’m playing catch up a lot when I’m on day shifts. IC: Jhoni will want to get to the docks, the weapon will be useful and he has only just got his ship back..
Seemingly ignored by Tlak- Shik, Elric goes the rest of the way in silence. Once at the top he listens to what is said and nods. Things were starting to make a bit more sense, but not completely. The yells of Orcus and the fact that the Silver Hand was here meant that there was something a lot bigger than a dragon return happening.
Elric Scoffs a bit at Ai'ryn's venomous words pointed at Thruk and shakes his head a bit. "Let us go then, and take care of what needs to be done."
The Albino Half-Elf was beginning to feel a bit out of place. No one had even talked or acknowledged him other than the Blue bois he had encountered at the gate and the shop keeps. He shook it off as he walked. He had a duty to uphold, he had to do everything he could to help as many as he could. He strengthened his internal resolve, never letting any of his alienation visibly show. Thruk seemed to have it a bit worse seeing as some others did not like or trust him, or Tlak who was a bit of a fish out of water. He put himself out of his mind for the duration and stops making attempts to talk to any of the others unless spoken too, more focused on the task at hand as he heads to the catacombs.
( OOC: I don’t want this to sound wrong but your character was “born” with godly charisma. Perhaps other lowly characters would find your presence intimidating. Perhaps a character with a 20 charisma at level one would be the “face of the party” and naturally be the one to begin introductions/break down walls of social separation. I’m not telling you how to play your character, for me it just seemed odd that someone with so much charisma would allow themselves to feel isolated. I hope you don’t take this as a criticism or find offense when none was intended. I look forward to finding out more about each of the characters In our troop throughout our time together. Maybe it will be you that notices that Nivlen is having a bit of a nervous breakdown and you will be the one to rouse him out of it so that he can continue.)
Ooc:I find this interesting, sometimes the most charming individuals have the most self doubt, at least irl...perhaps that is Elric's 'flaw' as a character? After all, being descended from royalty, he may have a bit of a trust issue, or have been surrounded by 'yes men' for the better part of his life, which would.maje it hard for him to understand people not paying him more attention. I think this is wonderful character development, personally😀
Thank you guys for your input and tips! It is very hard to come up with RP Flaws when your character's lowest stat is normal person's STR at 10, maxed CHA at 20, and all the rest are equal to most people's highest scores. This makes finding a good flaw without betraying a stat. For Elric, I decided that even though he was born with amazing CHA causing him to usually have a strong force of will in the world, he is stuck in a moral conundrum breed from that much power, how do you use it? Does being royalty and naturally blessed give him the gods given right to be the face of the party? Should he earn it or allow someone who might have been better take that position? He is young, this is the first time he has gone out of his Kingdom, and even though he has the abilities he is not sure if he is worthy of having what he has. He is used to people responding to him when he speaks but these new types of communication are strange and now it feels like the world is ending. This is A LOT even for a character with high stats. Combine this with me not wanting to hog any spotlight or bogging down the game with "character development" He has the wisdom to understand his strengths, and the intelligence to analyze (maybe overly so) his his situation (Maybe the same with me personally also >_>). How does one stop oneself from becoming an egomaniac and use that much power correctly. Right now he feels isolated because he is also a fish out of water in his own way. This moment may cause him to bloom. Elric needs some route for character development, and I guess I choose his strength to also be his weakness. I'm loving everyone's characters so far and having a great time in this game. Well, with all of that out of the way, let me get back to it. Next post will be RP

As the other start preparing and going about, Elric notices Nivlen muttering and agitated while changing. The halfling's body revealing many more scars than what was on his face. Elric winces and averts his eyes until the halfling has is fully donned. The scars matched the books and teachings about forced slavery and fierce battles. The Nivlen must had gone through more than Elric could have ever imagined. On top of the he had noticed the halflings. He looked around and could see the state of everyone, it was a bit grim considering the circumstances.
Even as she asks the question, Elelyel realizes the need they might have for a ship (which truth be told she has more loyalty to anyway).
She hits Koric on the shoulder. "Come with us." She scans the room for the druid that was on the ship, but doesn't see him.
She turns back to the window, trying to pick the fastest way to the docks. "Ready Jhoni?"
Elric sees this and feels for them. He knew the danger of going out there and of splitting the group, but he also had a gut feeling that what Thruk said might be important. He goes to Eleyel while she is looking out of the window. He could't help but find her a bit beautiful, but shook the though as fast as it had come. "Thurk says there is something important to him on that ship. You also seemed determined to go, It would be better if you had more numbers. I understand a ship is home to a sailor. Would you allow me to accompany you?" He turns to the Halfling Nivel after he is done talking to Mool, "And you, would you join us with your amazing crossbow? I'm sure we can catch up to those in the catacombs if they choose to go there first. I believe if we can get to the boat we would be able to enter the catacombs more prepared, and knowing the state of their home will rid it from their minds while we take on the task of the catacombs." Elric looks out the window now as well, seeing the fires and destruction "I think if we move quick with few confrontations, we will be ok. I dont think the cross bow is going any where."

Nivlen is persuaded.
”All fine points, Elric. I believe we should stick together. Strength in numbers, as it were. Let us secure the ship or whatever Thurk needs quickly and then return to retrieve Mib. I believe we divide our forces to our own peril.”
Nivlen tries to “read the room” and realizes that while he was in his funk, he missed much of the preceding discussions. He hopes that a consensus is determined quickly as the situation outside is devolving more and more with each passing minute.
"Mool! Can your crossbow be only used on dragons or will it help us with this? And tell me it doesn't need blasted special bolts!"
Elelyel turns to the half-elf and nods. "I don't know what Thurk has in mind. But we may also be able to use the arqubuses the bastards used against us. "
Aye if we can find powder for them somewhere not already on fire! If it’s decided let’s get moving afore the whole dock is ablaze! Jhoni keeps looking nervously out of the windows down towards the flaming dock lands
OOC: had a night from hell last night, not gonna get into it more than saying my dog(pitbull, Loki, lvl 9 jackass) is an idiot that likes to bother deer 🦌 and I had to catch his dumb butt before he got himself hurt. Was out most of the evening trying to get him back on his harness. Sorry about the absence I know i said we'd start session 3 yesterday, I just woke up. At least it's raining so I don't have to go to work yet.
Next Post will be what I've got for groups so far, I think I might be waiting on one more, but I have to double check all the posts since yesterday day morning out. Brb.
"This is a problem." He turns to Mool, "Is the town evacuated?"
Mool says, "Quite the opposite, I'm afraid. Androll's Rock nearly doubles in population during the festival, people come from all over for the music and the food, even the fishermen tend to stay close to the docks this time o year" A sad realization that this may be the last such festival the town ever sees crosses his face.
"If you see any people in need of help nearby, send them here to the temple. I can at least seal this dining hall off from entry to the enemies of Melora, i have a scroll for just such an occasion, something Androll himself penned."
Groups so far: Catacombs: Mallus Righteousness Ai'ryn Tegid

FCS Crowe: Nivlen Jhoni Elelyel Elric Thurk
EDIT: TlakShik
My guess as a DM would be that TlakShik would most likely want to assist Thurk(for reasons he may or may not choose to reveal himself) Koric's loyalties so far lie more with Jhoni and Elelyel, so i would assume he would also go to the ship with them(sorry if this part is a bit "on rails", but i gotta get everyone back in the action! lol)EDIT: Koric is headed to the catacombs with the first group.
Before the group departs, Thurk turns mindfully to Ai'ryn. "I know you will not believe me when i say this, but I am sorry. I am sorry for the oppression and devastion my race has caused yours. I am not proud of what I was born as, but if you give me a chance, I can show you what I have become. We are not enemies on this day, Gith. We must save this city I have come to call home, and the good people who live here. I hope i can show you the truth of my words. Meet us at Jhoni's ship when you have retrieved the weapon, and we shall see if i cant find you a bigger 'Squid' (he says the racial epitaph with a small bit of disdain in his voice) to catch.
Thurnk and the others Depart for the Crowe, exiting into city, leaving the Githyanki, the Tiefling, and the two humans at the gates to the courtyard.
As the small party at the temple makes their way around back to the stairs, they can see that the area near the temple is relatively clear of action, minus a few peasants who are sprint past, no doubt trying to get home to loved ones or to try to escape the chaos in MidTown. The four of you make it to the basement door, where Tegid offers to stand guard. Ai'ryn, Mallus, and Righteousness unlock the door to the cellar and open it, revealing a huge ten foot wide set of stone stairs descending into darkness.
Jhoni and the rest of the large group make it to the edge of the temple district with no trouble. It seems that the enemy forces had not expected to need more than a single Troll to take control of the area. Before the group is the massive staircase that leads to the docks in LowTown. Looking out over the scene, it is a disturbing mess of burning thatch and wood, and the smell of blood and iron hangs in the air. Intermittently, the sound of screams and clashing steel can be heard, no doubt the remaining town guard battling the invaders to protect the citizens of the town. Groups of creatures, mostly goblins but with an occasional Orc or Gnoll 'Lieutenant' can be seen running about, knocking over merchant carts and setting more houses ablaze. The docks are around 600 feet away, so it will take you several minutes to reach the ship.
crap. Rain stopped, so i gotta get my ass to work, hopefully everyone has a chance to see things by the time i get back, I'll be on later today to do some active response stuff, especially since there's probably gonna be some fighting going on soon.
