Silenus listens to the elf with only half his attention, already trusting that Yian seems to be the sort who pays attention and remembers things. But his attention snaps into focus at the mention of a manticore.
"That's the man-lion-dragon thing?" Silenus says then stares at Axeholm with awe. Then he looks at Yian. "Are you as stoked at getting in there as me?"
He starts towards the entrance to the stronghold.
"I'm a sketchy grom when it comes to the healing arts," he says over his shoulder to Yian. "Sick dudes make we want to ralph anyway. Let's go find some ghouls and the manticore."
Robwin is clearly thinking… He paces around near the entrance of the room, muttering, “The book… the jug… … The cocoon?…”.
Robwin wanders over to the cocoon/bundle thing. ((I think detect magic might still be up?)). He takes a good look at it, and tries to scrutinise the magic still emanating from it. ((Does it have a certain school of magic? Does it seem to be the casing or deeper inside? Any silhouette or shape given away?)).
He will try to ‘rummage’ and ‘reach’ for any magical object that might be there…
He also calls back over his shoulder to Rinn, “I think this is the last thing I’m interested in here… I’ve almost… huhng!…”.
”Hmm… But… I think it’s a dead end, here, otherwise?… You want me to torch the place when we leave just to be sure?!…”.
Upon realising that it is an Alchemy Jug, Rinn turns to Robwin and wanders over as the mage struggles to get whatever is inside the cocoon. He hands Robwin the jug, "Alchemy jug," he says matter-of-factly with a wink, then looks at the cocoon. He pulls out his magical dagger and starts carefully slicing open the cocoon, "You know, you could just burn this thing down. It probably won't destroy whatever magical thing you see in here." He pauses slicing for a moment, turns back to Robwin and says "Probably" again with a shrug, then turns back to slicing with a wry grin on his face.
( Eline steps back from the cocoon as Rinn and Robwin approach. The transmutation aura is from a clock with many small patches stitched across it in an eclectic manner. Despite her comments, neither Eline nor TT have dug through the cocoon after opening it..
There is the magical clock, a pouch, a few copper, boots, and what was once nice linen clothes on the dedicated corpse. )
( The moon elf continues in Elvish, "Be cautious, if you would. The manticore is an ally. They aided against the ghouls. My brother would know more. I understand we have the treatment for these ill due to the strange group. Those here from the nearby cities are frightened. Those from the far north and east say it isn't a surprise."
She smiles thinly, "I am simply here to help and observe, though I have done far more of both in far to short a time."
She shakes herself after a brief pause, "Fare thee well, children of the wildes." It is a formal blessing.
"I must return to my duty."
"Find my brother, Sudryl. I am Shanyrria. Or find Valindra, a Half-Elf he calls himself. He says the folk here know what that looks like." She shrugs. "He is tan and your hight. Usually working hard while guiding his crews."
With that and a smirk, she bows again and returns to the ill and those caring for them.
"Alright, the manticore is a bodacious ally," Silenus says as he gives a half salute to Shanyria.
Then he looks at Yian, then towards the stronghold, gives it a quick point of his finger, a click of his tongue and he starts bounding towards the entrance.
"Yo, Sudryl, yo Valindra," Silenus calls in a loud booming voice. "Where you dudes at?"
Meanwhile, Robwin lifts up the cloak, let’s it hang down and turns it this way and that. If it’s filthy, he cleans parts of it, with prestidigitation, to get a decent look… ((Is it something he knows about or has heard of?))…
Arcana check (if needed): 8
He’s not interested in any of the rest of the stuff there.
Robwin is having a real brain fog right now! Not picking up that it was an alchemy jug is weighing on his mind and now he can’t place the cloak either… it’s on the top of his tongue!!… Something is obviously bugging him… Gnawing on his mind… Distracting him. He is visibly perturbed.
As Silenus and Yian make their way into the keep, Silenus' loud inquiry leads to Valindra approaching them within the main area of the keep just past the inner gauntlet.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Valindra approaches, Silenus looks at his skin to see if it's tan. Then he measures his own height with his hand and holds it our towards the approaching man. He smiles broadly. This is Valindra.
"Hey, bro," Silenus says with a smile. "I'm Silenus. This is Yian. And that's her very excellent drake."
He gestures up at the stronghold looming above them.
"We're here to totally help. Drop us in the soup and we'll deal with those aggro ghouls you've got mucking about."
Charisma: 3 (+1 if straight Charisma Check or +4 if Persuasion would be appropriate).
( Robwin whether or not it is actively affecting your thinking, you are aware that the idea of burning the books, scrolls and other literature in this room and this keep is weighing on your mind. )
Valindra is clearly unimpressed by Silenus but smirks in approval at the sight of the drake. I
n common mixed with a lot of Elvish he says, "We've a manticore and a northern wildman in the upper chambers somewhere helping corral arachnid for meat. They're with others more apt to think first." He looks pointedly at Silenus.
"I believe they're due back in an hour or two."
"If you're able to work with them, well, we'll need everyone we can spare through the evening and tomorrow as we start delving into the keep lower levels."
For now, if you're capable, put your backs onto helping us finish getting the northwest section round here", he gestures, "set up for a decent camp and infirmary."
"You'll be paid for your time in rations and supplies if not outright in coin."
Silenus looks at Valinda's smirk and his obvious distaste for the satyr. But if he let that look bother him every time he'd seen it he'd never be anything but bothered.
"Dude, you miss out on so much of the very radical things life has to offer if you think first all the time," Silenus says and pauses for a moment as he tries to summon up some respect for the elf, deciding that speaking in Elvish might do the trick. Silenus switches from Common to Elvish and continues. "But, looks like you're the big boss, and as amped as I am to get inside and see what's what, I can wait a couple of hours for your other team."
Silenus then looks around the worksite and growing camp. He doesn't have a clue what a decent camp and infirmary should look like. He looks over at Yian and shrugs.
"You have any idea what a totally decent camp looks like?" Silenus asks. "I can work but, dude, I'm no builder. Survive in the wilds for, like, ever? Totally, easily. Drink this entire camp under the table? Totally. Build a hospital? Nope."
He looks around some more. If they're not going inside the stronghold, he's lost.
((OOC If the preference is for Yian and Silenus to wait outside until the others return, I'm okay with that, just want to make sure I'm reading this right))

(( Insight or perception are a great way to go as are story telling. ))

He shrugs, "if you head up or down just be cautious. If you want to learn to set a camp, I will put you with someone who can reasonably use you with them."
"Either way, I need to get back to it.", he says as someone hails him from farther west in the keep.
"I can of put supply demand from me and probably four others and probably make a good camp for a few more" Yian says in elvish responding to Valinda, she then looks at Silenus.
"You look like you can carry a lot, I'll need wood for tent struts, I can get firewood and other supplies then lead you in putting it together"
Silenus listens to the elf with only half his attention, already trusting that Yian seems to be the sort who pays attention and remembers things. But his attention snaps into focus at the mention of a manticore.
