Dale watches as Darius requests the Goblin let Sildar go, and subtly adjusts his grip on his axe, not quite sure how things are going to go down....

The goblin screams, "I WANT THE BUGBEAR'S HEAD THEN SHALL RELEASE THIS HUMAN!"

Darius' eyes hardened, all pretense of accommodation gone. "Fine, let me spell this out for you. And I'm only going to say this once," he hissed slowly, but calmly.

"Let our mate go. Now. Or you die where you stand."

He didn't make a move toward the goblin. He just glared, as if daring the creature to break the tension.

The goblin steps back and lets the knife away from Sildar. "Now do we have a deal?" The goblin say slowly.

Alton relaxes slightly. "...Alright, let's go kill a bugbear. ...Sildar, you good?"

"Not particularly. How are you four." Sildar says.

"Could be better, but from the looks of it, you've had the worst of it"

Dale looks at the Goblin "Ok, Goblin, lead us to this bugbear you want dead, lead us into a trap and you're done"

Intimidation: 6

Dale also thinks that we just killed the bugbear that the Goblin is referring to (roll perception?)

The goblin leads you into the cave with the bugbear, the one you just killed. He looks confused.

 "Oh, would you look at that. Already dead. Cool, excellent." Alton will walk up to the goblin... Probably being the only person here that can look the thing in the eye since he's roughly goblin sized. "...Where's the other one that was with our human friend here?" He would ask.

In response to Sildar though, he'll just offer a thumbs up to hide the pain.

"No clue," The goblins says "A goblin showed up a few days ago saying that they would pay for the capture of some dwarf. We got the keep that one." He points to Sildar.

Darius shook his head. This goblin was really beginning to get on his bad side. He took a few steps toward the creature, demanding with a voice that was almost a growl now, "Well, since we've already done your dirty work for you, and haven't already cut you down for kidnapping our friends in the first place... how about you TRY to be helpful and tell us which way this goblin went, at least?"

"Some Dwarf? Some Dwarf? Be careful who you are speaking with Goblin! You are a suspicious bunch, surely you would have attempted to find a little about this "other goblin"

Dale is with Darius, he doesn't get on with goblins at the best of times..........

Symon nods in agreement with the two, "Why did you capture a dwarf?  What did this 'goblin' have that made you do what he asked, with no questions?  Did it threaten you?  Offer to reward you?  Or are you in the habit of just doing things for no reason?"

"Cragmaw Castle" Not hesitating to give his allies up. "The goblin worked for King Grol. Klarg will do anything Grol says."

"Good. Then that's where we are going." The halfling looks up at the taller members of the party. "...I think we've scared the goblin enough, yeah?" He checks on his fingers. "...Where is this Cragmaw Castle?"

The goblin provides basic directions from Phandalin to Cragmaw castle.

Still obviously irritated, Darius sheathed his swords. After glaring at the goblin, he simply asked, in an almost too-quiet tone, "And the nearest exit?"

(( After having it pointed out, Darius will simply start heading that direction without another word. ))

After you all leave. Sildar says "I you all don't mind, I think I will need an escort back to the town. I will pay." Also 75 EXP each for dealing with the goblins.

"I'd be happy to escort you back to town."

"It's on the way to Cragmaw Castle," said Darius flatly. He had cooled off a bit, but was still irritated by the entire situation. He didn't like that Gurden was still in trouble, and a part of him wanted to blame the "warrior" Sildar, but he held his tongue. After all, he could have been overwhelmed by the goblins just as easily as Sildar had been.

As they continued to Phandalin, he decided to focus on the job rather than stay in a poor mood. "Tell us about the goblin who took Gurden," he asked. "Did he have a large crew with him? Did they say anything about what they planned to do, or why they wanted him?"
