Lowblo fires his bolt, hitting the goblin leader in the chest. He drops the dagger and begins to push Sildar over the edge of the raised area, Daeris runs along the edge of the ledge and says in a loud firm voice, "Yeemik, don't hurt him, he can help us!"
Yeemik pauses and looks at Daeris, seemingly confused, as Nelly's axe slices through the midsection of another goblin. Daeris climbs the stairs easily in the confusion and slides a dagger into the side if Yeemik, a pained look on her face.
This leaves one goblin, the meat shield and the very injured Sildar.
Yeemik, looking lifeless, takes a second bolt and slides to the floor. Ruvaar tosses the almost unconsious goblin he held to the floor. . where it remains. . trying not to be noticed. The last goblin in the room, near the cook fires, hides behind a pot and tries to disappear. Sildar, gaining some energy from seeing his good friend approach, quickly begins to fade again as he slumps, taking support from Ruvaar.
"My equipment might be here.. . we need to leave. . a bugbear. . " Daeris, seeing that things are under control, watches the remaining goblins and the cave entrance.
Hearing the word Bugbear, Lowblo's eyes widen and he frantically looks around. Not seeing a bugbear in the immediate vicinity, he quickly reloads preparing for the worst.
Ruvaar moves out of the way so as to allow Chantrea to heal his friend. He isn't paying attention to the others, concern for his friend taking precedence.
Sildar looks greatly refreshed and thanks everyone. "The bugbear. . his name is Klarg. . he is the leader here. Has a mean wolf at his side usually . .", he takes a moment breathing deeply and arching backward to stretch."
Looking around, Sildar grimaces, "looks like my gear is gone", he reaches down to Yeemik and tugs a small purse off if his side, opens it carefully and tosses it to the ground in disgust., "if you can take me to Phandalin I will make sure you get paid for the work you have done here, Gundren was taken away but I can fill you in on our way there."
You can look around more, there were cases of supplies with a logo on them in Klarg's room, aside from that you have been everywhere you could see a passage leading to. There is some possibly edible food in the pots and two passed out goblins.
If you chose to leave by the main entrance, turn to page 57. . .
As everyone takes a moment to catch their breath, Sildar looks at Ruvaaar, "It seems we are safe here for now." With a firm loud tone, used to command, Sildar calls everyone over.
"Listen, Gundren trusted you and so do I. He's gone now, and it is time you found out why. . . " he begins to tell the tale . .
More than five hundred years ago, clans of dwarves and gnomes made an agreement known as the Phandelver's Pact, by which they would share a rich mine in a wondrous cavern known as Wave Echo Cave. In addition to its mineral wealth, the mine contained great magical power. Human spellcasters allied themselves with the dwarves and gnomes to channel and bind that energy into a great forge called the Forge of Spells, where magic items could be crafted. Times were good, and the nearby human town of Phandalin prospered as well. But then disaster struck when orcs swept through the North and laid waste to all in their path. A powerful force of orcs reinforced by evil mercenary wizards attacked Wave Echo Cave to seize its riches and magic treasures. Human wizards fought alongside their dwarf and gnome allies to defend the Forge of Spells, and the ensuing spell battle destroyed much of the cavern. Few survived the cave-ins and tremors, and the location of Wave Echo Cave was lost.
"Gundren and his two brothers, Tharden and Nundro. . they found the entrance to Wave Echo cave. . that is what the supplies you were bringing were for. Gundren didn't tell you to help guard the secret until you got there."
"Klarg the Bugbear, the leader here in this cave, was sent to capture Gundren, I over heard the goblins say that the Black Spider had ordered them to bring Gundren to him. Gundren had a map with him with the location of the cave marked. .. and the goblins. . I think they took him and the map to the leader of the Cragmaws in a place called Cragmaw Castle.. . I don't know where that is.. . "
He takes a breath and looks back up, "I have a contact in Phandalin, where you were headed, he is a wizard named Iarno Albrek . . he was sent to the town to establish order two weeks ago".
Looking to Ruvaar he continues, "We haven't heard from him so I was sent to investigate. I figured I would travel with Gundren as he planned to stop there for the night. I need to head there now, I would appreciate the company of any of you who want to go along. Having heard what you just have I will say it may not be safe. . but Phandalin is close."
The longer the group lingers, the more nervous and agitated the little goblin becomes. Eyes darting to every shadow, he begins hopping from one foot to the next.
Heading to the mouth of the cave, you carefully pass the room that housed the wolves, the sound of rushing water filling your ears again as you traverse the narrow, slick passages.
Sildar suggests that you have enough time to reach Phandalin in time to eat and settle in for the evening - alternately you could camp outside of the cave or head back inside.

"Haha, got you!"
Encouraged from the successful shot, Lowblo loads and fires once more.

Sensing that much of the fighting is over with Ruvaar tosses down his meat shield onto the floor and rushes towards his friend.
OOC: sorry for radio silence, been a bit crazy here in Ottawa.

"Yes, leaving fast. Good plan."
Seeing the immediate threats have been nullified, Chantrea removes the arrow from her short bow and rushes forward to assist with Sildar.
"Please, let me heal him," she says to Ruvaar.
Cure Wounds: 5
"Aye, we sh-" Nelly's eyes go wide as her voice catches. "A bugbear? Fer real? It's not even mah birthday."
The dwarf's irises shine with unrestrained excitement. "Hey, you all wanna see mah summonin' spell?"
The goblin shakes his head emphatically, "No, me just wants to gets"
He starts to make his way to the exit, peering around for any signs of the bugbear.

If you chose to leave by the main entrance, turn to page 57. . .
Everyone gets 275 XP. . this should get you up a level, the software on this site should help you add what you need to your character.
[I turn to page 57... :P]
[Not quite lvl 2, need 300.]
Ah you must have not added the initial 75 earlier. . add that and level up and then we will move out of the cave :)
