When he approaches the crawler, Huarache sees the giant spider (who blew his stealth roll) waiting 30ft overhead in the cavernous space where the crawler was gnawing on the kobold corpse.
Spider initiative: 14
Sam and Huarache are up (technically in that order, but you can both post at will), then Shutorn, Dorian and Leann. The spider may act after that. Then back to the top of the list (crawler)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Huarache will shoot at the spider, I guess. Is the spider 30 feet straight up? In any case, Huarache will move so that he is horizontally 30 feet from the spider (so that he's within 45 feet in total, yay Pythagoras) and fire twice at disadvantage for long range.
the spider is 30ft above the cavern floor. It's position (Sorry, I did not make this clear; that's on me) was somewhere above the crawler when it was eating the kobold, so in the vicinity of the 60ft from the point at which the.encounter began.
Ooc: Unless there is some confusion here on my part, that would have him moving past the crawler, or did the crawler move past Huarache earlier? (i didn't think we'd need a map for this; I'm starting to think I was wrong.) Unless and until I have some feedback on that, I'm ignoring it for the time being.
The first shot barely hits the spider, as it nearly succeeds in dodging the blast, but the error proves costly for the spider sd it takes a large amount of damage.
Your detail about distances here raises the question if you would have seen the spider with your 60ft darkvision, but if it mattered, we could say he's slightly closer than the dead kobold. In any case, you've definitely seen him at this point.
Huarache moved 20 feet closer to the CC to fire upon it, then retreated ten feet. I assume he retreated further to be 30 feet from the CC so he could fire on the spider with DADV while still being in range.

This time the owl is close enough to swoop in and out and help Dorian attack the carrion crawler. (Chill touch) Attack: 19 Damage: 5
Dorian will stay where he is unless he needs to back up to make sure he's not at the forefront of the party. He'll also check behind him to make sure nothing is coming from the opposite direction.
Leann's blade rends the tentacles from the crawler, the mass viscera of the creature pour forth from the eviscerated husk.
Following the first blast if Huarache's blunderbuss, the spider drops rapidly from the ceiling, narrowly evading the second shot. Before it can even hir the floor, Dorian's chill touch grabs the wounded spider and pulls the last ounce of life from its hulking exoskeleton as it reaches the ground. It rears on its hind legs and flails it's forelimbs akimbo. The death rattle of the beast before it crumples into the minecart tracks.
It appears to have been killed by the spider, but the crawler got to it first. Looking around the room, you see other victims of the spider hanging entombed in silk on its web in the ceiling. They are similar in size to the kobold on the tracks.
Ctenmiir informs you they are likely coming from Wyrmheart Mine. A red dragon known by the locals as 'Tinder' has driven the dwarves from the mine.
"Oh, a dragon, how lovely," Dorian says. It's hard to tell if he's being sarcastic or genuinely interested. "Do we know how extensive its reach into the mines is? Can it be avoided?"
He'll inspect the bodies for any useful items or weaponry. (LMK if someone wants to help or if we want to pause for a ritual Detect Magic.)
"You won't be finding much on this lot. Anything valuable likely made it's way to that dragon's horde. The kobolds worship the bag scalies, ya know? Serve them like royalty, 'cept they seem to actually think the dragons are worthy of the honor," Ctenmiir tells the group.
"The mine is a pit, the tracks here open to the lower level. I'd expect a young dragon would make it's home at the bottom of the mine. It's wide enough that she could fly straight out without much fuss."
In the distance you hear a sound that is, in fact, a waterfall. You've been travelling over three miles on the minecart tracks since you left Hrakhamar, with one long rest. There's not much of interest between this chamber and the waterfall.
Assuming you keep on, you make it to an opening, though little light shines in. It is evening and the sun that light the surface does not reach the bottom of the mine. A few feet from the opening, water pours through the tressel from the north wall 35ft above the tracks, which are suspended 25ft above the floor of the mine. The water collects in a pool below. A fishing net hangs on the wall nearby. The floor of the shaft is littered with charred dwarven skeletons, most calcifying as if there for many years, a handful look more recent.
The area is damp from the most of the waterfall and the rushing water is extremely loud due to an echo. The water casts only a thin sheet across the track and is readily passable, the bulk of the water remaining against the wall of the mine several feet north of the track.
If you want to do anything before entering the mine, now would be a good time.
“A dragon would make a worthy foe.” Leann says with a frown to the burned bodies. “Also will likely have some nice things in its horde...” She glances to the others. “Are you ready to do this, or shall we pause here for a moment for some reason?”
The net is in serviceable condition, though it does have a few holes in it large enough for a quipper to swim through, they are few and far between.
No magic detected within 30ft.
If you follow the tracks across the mine, you see that the track you are on connects with another, which follows a gentle slope as it spirals around the perimeter of the pit, descending to your right (clockwise) and ascending to your left (counterclockwise). Just at the point where the tracks meet is another opening directly in front of you, the ground beyond which is level with the track, 25ft above the floor of the mine.
Ooc: I feel like I should have something randomly happen in the 10 minutes it's taking ritual casters to do those, but I won't.

Echo will again wait to use Deflect Attack.

I think that's fine. I think I will just have Sam use the help action again for Leann this time. So...
Shutorn, Leann and Dorian are up. (No need to go in order.)
Ooc: (This is the lag that I tried to avoid by skipping initiative in the first place, but let's try using it for a while.)
... bump
Leann will attack the crawler then...

End of combat.
Shutorn examines the body of the kobold to try to determine what it died from and how long ago.

Huarache will start ritual casting Detect Magic while the others discuss plans.

Your searches turn up nothing of value.

Again, casting Detect Magic as a ritual, I guess.

Dorian will take the net, if it's in good enough condition to be of use. He'll also ritually cast Comprehend Languages, just in case.

Will the party follow the tracks up (left), down (right) or go through the opening ahead, off the tracks?
I'm assuming you're being stealthy, seems reasonable. Go ahead and make a stealth check with advantage from the sound of the waterfall.
* Clarification: no magic on this level at all, the '30ft' was in reference to the spell's range. The statement is true for the entirety of this level
Leann stealth: 20
Leann is waiting for the others to decide which path to take. She will then take up rear-guard position.
