Torvin will help Hitticus up saying: "Sorry about that. Let me help you up. My name is Torvin. Pleased to meet you all. I wish it was under better circumstances.....does anyone know what is going on? How in the world have Goblins allied with Dragons and why do they attack our great city?"
"I know nothing of this invasion but my father would possibly have more information. Invasion aside, why the hell is that Dwarf in a cage?" I start moving toward the cage. "Is this dwarf in need of healing?"
Randrak, you recognise the emblem on the females sash and recall that it belongs to a ship named the Firehook, but in the chaos of the moment that is all you can recall. She does not strike you as familiar.
The female dwarf rounds on you all as you fire in with questions, “What is this, the bloody invasion committee? I’m Captain Blackfire of the Firehook, this is mender and that poor sod on the ground was here when we got here. I don’t know why goblins are crawling over the stinking city and frankly I don’t care. As soon as my first mate turns up we are out of here and Baldenvelt be damned for a burning ruin.”
The gnome identified as Mender gives a nervous cough, “...it’s.. been a long day.”
The Captain actually looks slightly abashed and shakes her head, “Seems to me your city has fallen. If you want out we have room on the Firehook.”
Mender gives a nod of approval earning him a withering glare from the Captain.
Torvin will reply to the Captain: "Please forgive all the questions but, with the events that are now occurring we are probably a bit in shock. It does seem the city will fall but with your gracious offer it seems Moradin has provided an escape. I for one accept your offer with thanks."
“Save the thanks until we are off this rock,” she replies with a wry smile offering her hand to you Torvin. “Now if our friend on the floor would like to stop feigning unconsciousness, we can take a look at you and get you on your feet. I’m damned sure I am not carrying you out of here.”
OOC: Freak she’s calling you on the play dead act. What is your reaction.
Randrak slowly backs away from the door keeping an eye on it. He seems to be unsure as to whether he was followed. When the doors do not open he turns around to the rest of those already in the warehouse.
"The Firehook, you say?" he says. "I recognise that name, and the symbol on your sash too."
Randrak despite turning his attention to rest still turns his head towards the door around the warehouse. He wants to be ready for anything the comes through those doors.
"You may be captain of a ship, but you have not yet earned my respects or my trust. None of you has. I don't know anyone of you. But you two hide in hear waiting for your first mate? You don't know if they're alive or dead. At least I saw my closest comrades die before I came here."

The Captain shrugs but seems to respect your blunt manner Randrak.
”Don’t rightly recall asking for your trust soldier and frankly I’d count you as a bloody idiot if you did given we’ve known each other for all of ten seconds. Truly I’m sorry for your loss but as for me and mine I’d ask you to shove your judgement up yer arse where no one else can smell the stench.”

Mercwri Cyflym looks at Randrak, "Oye, so ye'll be wantin' t' trust what bes oot tha' door, eh? Seems t' me the wee crowd we gots in 'ere bes a bit more trustworthy than an horde o' goblins o'er seen by dragons, unless I miss me guess that bes." Looking round at the others he continues, "I did be 'earin' a few whispers o' disaster in the offin' but nae expected anythin' like this." In spite of his small statue, the gnome seems a bit less than concerned by the idea of dragons. "One has t' wonder what bes goin' on t' be sure, but I fears that tha'll have t' wait. I fer one do nae wish t' be talkin' to no dragon, or t' bes et by one neither, so," he turns to Captain Blackfire, "if ye 'as a ship I'm fer sailin' outta this brouhaha, got better things t' do, like livin t' a ripe old age. Freak slowly opens his eyes, seeing the cage is open and none of the usual faces around. Tensing suddenly he lunches himself out of the cage, with the intention of putting some distance between himself and the strangers. However, there was numbness still in his limbs and he falls in a muscled heap after three steps. In terror, he shouts his eyes and hugs his knees and shouts in a childish, but hoarse voice: "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

Torvin will slowly walk over to the now free Dwarf. Not knowing the extent of his injuries and cast healing word for: 4 and says: "No need for fear my friend. No one here is going to hurt you. We want to help you."
Randrak points a handaxe at Mercwri, "Right now those goblins and dragons want one thing, mayhem. Whether they get it through destroying buildings or killing people. So yes, I trust them. I trust that they will want to kill me any chance they get. That I already know.
However, this captain and her crew just happen to be in the capital at the same time as there is a goblin attack, with green dragons, is quite the coincidence. Some of the rest you are from out of town too. But she has a missing first mate, who she seems to not want to find."
He then points his other handaxe at the captain, "So what is it that you and your crew doing here?"

Torvin will slowly walk over to the now free Dwarf. Not knowing the extent of his injuries and cast healing word for: 7 and says: "No need for fear my friend. No one here is going to hurt you. We want to help you."
The stranger's words seem to send warmth into Freak's body and all numbness goes away. He opens his eyes and stands, a little hunched, afraid to raise his head above those present. He slowly backs away into a wall.
"Help? Yes. Help escape." His eyes dart between the strangers.
The Captains eyes narrow as she takes in your words Randrak. "Of all the people you might expect to be hiding out in a dockland warehouse, you might argue that a couple of sailors would be near top of the list and not suspicious at all. I think you are looking for a conspiracy soldier and there isn't one. Tell me do you wear a tin helmet during the night to stop the high elves from reading your thoughts as well?" She shakes her head and turns her back on you to watch the newly awakened Dwarf. "Mender say nice words to the beef cake and calm him down." she growls.
Mender steps in between you and the Captain wringing his hands a little, "Like I said.. what's you name again? long day." he glances toward the Captain, "We docked to offload a few crates of Ember Crabs when the fighting started. Some of the crew have family in the city so Torg, thats the first mate, took a party inland to find them, while the rest of the crew held the ship. The Captain and I had some business to take care of and agreed to meet Torg here before heading back to the Firehook." he shrugs..."We thought the place was abandoned."
Torvin will say to the newly freed Dwarf: "You are free now but I don't think you should go outside. The city is under attack from Goblins and a Dragon. The Captain said we could travel on her ship and you are welcome to join us. May I ask who held you captive and why?"

"Is the ship going far? Take me with you!". Realising he was shouting, he crouches, heads on his head and eyes closed.
Mobile~ Hitticus flips his handaxe out of his belt and hands it handle first to Freak. "No masks here friend. Take this, wouldn't be right to leave you to fight empty handed." Hitticus gives the captive a long once over before adding. "Just don't hack me in the back with it." Hitticus then turns to Randrak "Not the time, we'll sort out personal enemies later, for now we should focus on the common one."
