Seeing the others begin to reach their vantage points, Flint sets a brisk walking pace for the center of the gate.
With Jorji and Seviari protected in their watchtowers, the others meet inside the gate. To the immediate left you see the temple, its slender tower reaching high into the night sky, its bell still ringing loudly. This close, you can make out stained glass set in the wooden walls, depicting images of birth, the dawning sun, trees, and unicorns. The front door to the temple is wide open and a warm light comes from further within.
Solace is eyeing the town center with a fair amount of scrutiny. It's too far away to see in the dark, even for those with dark vision, and that damned bell is ringing too loudly to hear anything useful.
// At this point, it might good for you guys to appoint a leader, someone that you are following, so that each of you aren't waiting for someone else to make a move and thus stalling the narrative ;) //
// Personally I'm just waiting to see what comes out of the darkness//
"Any of you got something to light that up so I can see what I'm shooting?" Seviari peers into the darkness of the town center, trying to distinguish what the shapes might be
// One more thing, I meant to post this earlier... //
As your enter Nightstone under the cover of darkness, you notice several large rocks embedded in the ground in your vicinity at random intervals, about 3 feet in diameter and weighing easily 500 pounds each. Those of you that have been to Nightstone recognize these as new features.
// I missed so much, mornings will be hard for me to post. during that time Rip is ferociously writing in him master tomb //
"..so I can see what im shooting... done. Alright Flint, ready to.. Flint?" Rip takes a second to find the dwarf he'd been absent mindedly following as the distraction felt more heroic and applicable for a bard "Alright Flint, ready to make some noise? Also, where did these big rocks come from? Odd choice for exterior decor."
The moon comes out just enough that Rip and the others can see its silvery light glinting off the backs of two large wolves, both picking around the base of another large rock near the town center.
// Go ahead and roll initiative upon seeing these worgs, everybody. //
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
//Uh pump the brakes please! BriceJTodd/Serviari cut it with the 'sweet cheeks' comments in future and show me as well as my character some respect. I got ZERO tolerance for that shite IRL or online. Secondly Solace does have dark vision as does Flint and Jorji so as soon as the wolves, I am assuming is what was scurrying, from Solace's forward vantage would have seen then once they would have gotten within 60ft! She would have been able to make out the 'shapes' as well as seen the moment WAY before they were able to attack and raise some sort of alarm for the party. Now however I am just plain confused about all these movements and placement of PCs. Who's on the ground behind Solace at the palisade, who's in the tower, and the rocks at what distance from the palisade/bridge. Also if we were going to be able to roll stealth to move forward you did not wait for anyone to do it on the ground?!//
For reference, the rocks scattered around the map are 3' in diameter. The distance from the gate to the town centered is roughly 100 feet. The temple is 40' long.
For our first encounter, let's try this: Please describe where you are, relative to the wolves, within 80-100 feet to the west of them (so between the town center and the gate). Precise positioning between yourselves shouldn't be necessary. Describe also what you'll do as your action this round, rolling dice as appropriate [including damage dice]. Anything checks involving attacking or hiding from the wolves has Advantage. Your action will take effect during your turn).

From his watchtower (let's say the north one), Jorji step up between the crenelations and draw a bead on one of the worgs (just two, right? call it worg 1).
Jorji will ready an action to loose the arrow once the people down below rush in, if that is indeed the plan, but he doesn't want to draw any unnecessary attention from the beasts quite yet.
Longbow, if fired this round: Attack: 20 Damage: 2

Flint will assume a defensive stance 15 feet inside the gate and hold his action. "Make it count me friends."
Rip will stay behind Flint so that the dwarf is all they see and hold as well
