I would REALLY like to find a way to unsubscribe from notifications for this post. Does anyone know of a way to do this? I'm getting pinged every time someone comments on this :(

Ohh, if you've preordered the Beadle & Grimm's product, that is probably a question for Beadle & Grimm's customer service.
https://store.beadleandgrimms.com/
(Totally guessing as I've never ordered anything from there before, BUT it could be as easy as canceling your pre-order, and then making the preorder again with that discount code that DDB mailed out)

The subscriber perks are for subscriptions, rather than book purchases. So to get the dice of heroism set, you would only need to be a subscriber (links in the main post). No book purchase necessary.

You only have to be part of a campaign in order to share your content; you don't have to be the DM or the creator of the campaign.

Does the DM have to create a campaign in order for players to gain access to other books and materials bought?
Essentially, yes. Here's what you have to do:
- DM creates a campaign and invites players.
- Players join via invite link (either by creating a new character, or adding an existing character)
- Anyone who has a Master tier subscription AND is part of the campaign (DM or player) can enable sharing. Once this is enabled, all material owned by any participant can be shared among everyone in the campaign.

doesn't this duplicate all of the subscriber perk(s) from last month?
The perk from last month (sanguine dice) are being held over through July since they were late in coming last month.
The perk from this month (backdrops package) was just released.

Sea hag’s death glare doesn’t automatically frighten an enemy—rather, the dearth glare is only applicable against an enemy that is already frightened. So you would have to fail two saves in a row—one against the sea hag’s appearance (failure = you are frightened), and then one against the death glare action (failure = you are reduced to 0 hp).
Still a very powerful ability! -

A lot of people are saying the dice are hard to read, but I can make out the numbers fine. Rolling on Chrome for iOS, Windows, and Mac OS.

The top 3 articles on this website are all about advertisements for people buy stuff from you...I feel bad for anyone who actually pays this website for a service
I feel bad for anyone who isn't benefiting from membership! I have access to every rulebook and adventure module on my phone's web browser, I can download the full books onto the reader app on my tablet, and I can share it all with all my players, most of whom use the DDB services for free.
I believe in the Beyond team and I appreciate what they're doing, so I love the idea that I can show them my support with a monthly cost of a couple coffees, and in addition to the normal benefits of the subscription, I get some perks on top of all the free stuff they already make.
This is coming from someone who consciously budgets every dollar, every month. I make a conscious choice to keep my subscription, because I am proud to be a DDB subscriber; and I hope their subscriber count continues to grow so that they can put out even better products and services.

Yeah it's been way too long waiting for a fix on this. I've played an entire campaign's worth with an aberrant mind sorcerer on Discord, and it was a pain. Fun class, fun character, terrible experience trying to cast psionic spells.

Yeah, the "apology" is most definitely not an apology 🫤
I love the D&D developers, and I truly believe that the majority of WotC employees are community-oriented. But this statement, whoever wrote it, is just really a bad look.
Hoping that the OGL rewrite will be true to the stated intentions. But until it is, I've sadly cancelled my DDB subscription that I had kept active all the way since 2017.

IMO it's a red herring.
I fully support the desire to censor hateful or discriminatory material–I make the same efforts in my own company's publishing. But all WotC would need to do is include a clause specifically prohibiting such objectionable content, and/or specifying their right to revoke the license in such cases. There is a simple and efficient way to do that, and the OGL 1.1 verbiage was like using a wrecking ball to hammer a nail in, in that respect.

Here's the quote from the OP:

What are the October perks? I tried clicking the link, but all it does is take me to the subscription marketplace (even though I'm already subscribed!)

The prince is cowed. He has witnessed the power you wield, and isn't about to challenge you without backup.
Behind you, Clarion and her two riders clearly have the upper hand in the sky battle. You are free and clear, if you indeed wish to retreat to a safer location.
Where will you take the prince?
0
The ice from Marav's breath hangs in the air, obscuring your view of the enemies as you make your escape.
The giant prince snivels, but asks more forcefully this time, in heavily accented Common, "Whut arre you all going to du tu me??" Then in jotun, he finishes, "Tell me now! I demand it!"
0
Looking over the side of the ship, Ink can see a giant that matches Zaltember's description. A spiked iron crown, and a huge hammer. He is striding away from the open door at the base of the cliff, and is bathed in the bright orange glow from the firelight inside of the fortress.
"What...what are you going to do to me?" Zaltember asks in giant.
0
The boy replies, in giant, "He has a big beard! And an iron crown. And a big hammer. And lots of gold!"
0
Zaltember (the fire giant youth) takes Marav's breath like a punch in the gut, and drops to his hands and knees. He pleads, in giant, "OWWW! No more! Please. My father will pay you; just don't hurt me!"

As Aya struggles to reign in the great flaming bird, Marav-the-dragon and the giant prince plummet towards the ship. Matrix struggles to regain control of the airship.
Marav, tangled up with the prince, tries to angle their descent towards the airship. At the last second, Ink fires off his levitate spell, catching the prince momentarily. But the spell holds only for a second, as Marav's weight (combined with the giant prince's weight) overpowers Ink's concentration, and causes the two large figures to fall in a heap on the deck of the ship.
The airship rocks with the force, bucking front to back—and Matrix is flung off the stern of the ship! His form falls into the darkness of the valley below before anyone can react.
But there is barely time to contemplate this, as the flame-bearded fire giant, flying down towards you, winds up and launches a blossoming fireball from over 100 feet away.
The fire giant sorcerer laughs like a crazy person. But then—suddenly—the fireball is reversed, reduced back to a mote, and extinguished!

Eiren stops and turns on his heels. "Almost forgot. Before we do that, might we try that thing with the black gate? I would like to try applying more than one key to the black gate, to see what happens."
0
(Oh right, Golem Laboratories)
Eiren suggests that we continue exploring the golem laboratories. If the map is correct, the stone golem quarries are just through the next corridor (1). "Velmine, let's keep Clay close, shall we?"
0
(I forget where we are at—do we have a black key that works for this area yet?)
0
"Well, that was...random. But helpful," says Eiren. "I'm glad we were able to free the angelic being...no one deserves to be imprisoned like that."
Eiren feels rejuvenated and ready to continue!
