Hello all! I was just rooting through old childhood books, and I found Into The Deepwoods by Paul Stewart and Chris Ridell. I started thumbing through it, and remembered how wacky and fun the world was. I then had the amazing Idea of running a PbP in this world. Those who have not read the books (I don't imagine a lot of you would've), It is a weird mix of fantasy/steampunk and horror/comedy. It is very strange to say the least. If I get enough Interest, I will start converting the Lore into DnD, and will make a recruitment post.
holy hells, yes. It’s all returning to me. Actually, nevermind, I literally remember nothing. But I know I loved those books, at least. A shame I don’t have an extra character slot..,

@Goodbovine, not to step on any toes but here (below) are a couple of links that may be helpful or allow others to get a little more background info... I am interested in a Banderbear character, are you thinking about homebrewing or permitting players to homebrew any of the races or just more or less having players use existing DnD race that's similar? I'd be happy with just using a Bugbear as a Banderbear.

If you want, I could create an unassigned character for you in a campaign......pretty sure that works.

Yeah man, sounds interesting. I'm always interested to see how people reimagine worlds into D&D.
There would be some race, but no class restrictions.
there seems to be quite a bit of interest, so I am gonna start copying lore into a recruitment post. May take a little while, so hang tight.
