A deep rattle came from Jargrax, it was uncomfortable to hear. His teeth showed as he seemed to smile, "I will have to see what you are capable of, and if that faith really matters. You may be a tough target, but you are very soft. That is something you can't deny." Lifting the blanket she gave him and smirking. "If ever we have time and you want to prove yourself, I might teach you a thing or two if you ask nicely." Looking at Belvarax, "Three men? You should have wasted them all and moved on. A quick breath and they would be weakened, and easy to eliminate. Regardless of what your Breath is."
As midday approaches, you’ve seen little during your time on the road. The occasional patch of wildflowers and a tree here and there. You spot what appears to be a frequented campsite as there’s a circle of stones with ash in the middle. Would the group like to stop for a midday meal or press on until evening meal?
So far I have Belvarax and Jargrax sitting at the front of the wagon driving it.
Adorabella is sitting astride Onyx to the left of the oxen pulling the wagon.
Aðalsteinn is set up inside the wagon and spent time tinkering with everyone’s weapons.
Rolo spent his time running beside the oxen on the right side of them.
What are Nariah and Natone doing during the first part of the day?
“Sure, I could have wasted them. It’s true. But what of their families. I didn’t kill any of them. Taught a lesson, maybe. Killing drunks over ale seems a bit shallow, besides had they been sober do you think they would have acted the same?” looking off to the side of the road ahead and pointing, “There is a place to stop, if anyone is hungry or wants a short rest. Let me know or I’ll drive right by.”
"Families?" Looks off in deep thought. "I...have never thought of families. They may seek revenge, I will have to adjust to this possibility. Eliminate quickly and leave or eliminate the whole family to ensure my safety."
"Jargrax, its ok. Just let the past be the past. Not everyone thinks through situations to that extent, plus I am sure in your cases that those on the other side of your steel deserved to feel it's bite."
Belvarax fills his pipe and lights it as he continues the wagon past the campsite. "Nariah, what of you. How do you know Gundren?"
Adorabella shrugs, "softness to you, following the teachings of the Revered Mother to me. I will always help those in need, it is not only my duty but my pleasure and joy to provide aid. If I die I shall die knowing I have done right. Good Aten't Nice, as my Granny used to say."
"Belvarax, if you want to take a short rest I can assist you in caring for the oxen, but if we do not need to, I will not need a rest on my own, Onyx is well bred for long journeys at a good pace, it's part of their overall dependability & reliability as a breed." Adorabella starts to smile again, talking of her pony.
Turning to watch Rolo hop in the cart with grace, she shakes her head in bemusement, and turns to keeping an eye on the surroundings.
To Belvarax: "3 on 1 huh? Glad you're on our side if things go poorly. I'll see what I can do to make get your mace whole again."
To Jargrax: "Not to worry, I can see there is still life left in this old blade. I'll be gentle and won't take off too much steel."
To Rolo: "Can't say I've ever tried to sharpen darts before but, a point is a point. I think I can make that happen."
Aðalsteinn spends his time staying busy working on everyone's implements, making sure that they are honed to the best of his abilities, oiled and returned. As the trip progresses, the gnome listens to his party's conversations while concentrating on his work. He'd never liked to stay idle very long so was content that during the ride to Phandalin he had so many takers of his offer.
Not wanting to waste much time on the journey, everyone decides to press forward and push on until sunset. Would anyone like to do anything specific between now and then?
Clacking his teeth toward Adorabella a wisp of mist coming out. "I have never been called nice. You softness may be your strength but to me it is a vulnerability, your care and concern is something to be used." Shaking his head, this made him think of the Before. It was so annoying but he had to admit it was nice to have company. "Keep going, if the Oxen slows we will stop." Looking at Aðalsteinn, "My sword is mine and temporarily your life, treat her well. She is special."
Adorabella takes back her handaxe from Aðalsteinn, thanking the gnome for his services, reattaches it to her saddle bag. She shifts around under her shield across her back, and touches the reassuring war hammer her father made her for her time in service to Lady Truesilver, it's filigree wrapped base was a source of great pride in her, Tak being such a well known silversmith, but of course Ma wouldn't allow her a pretty but useless weapon, so after many hours of practice and sharp words on caring for it, she was allowed to go forth and bring honor to the Diamondshield clan. The best part of that hammer was the white mountain flower symbol molded on the double heads, so that when struck, the inverted imprint was left. The ability to leave the mark of the Revered Mother made her fingers itchy for combat, but then verses from the psalms of the Mother came back to her, and while the Revered Mother is considered strict, she was not quick to anger, she always sought harmony, but when you arose her maternal desire to protect, you always begged her husband Moradin for mercy.
She munched on a few apples and dried meat from her sisters at the last temple, and unearthed a few carrots for Onyx, her preferred crunch.
This pace was easy but consistent and she longed for night, to remove her armor and rest.
"Dwarf female, what are you? You act like a priest but also act like a fighter. Are you what they call a paladin?" Scratching his jaw with a auditable Sksksksk.
"Oh Jargrax, I could never be something so great as a paladin, I'm just a cleric in service to my goddess," and with a wicked grin adds, "who happens to be trained by ferocious warrior. I know how to be prepared for many circumstances, a jill of all trades, perhaps, except in the art of diplomacy." She lets out a small bark of laughter, and with a lightened mood retreats into her thoughts.
Jargrax turns to look at Adorabella, looking her up to down before shaking his head and turning away. "If you say so. I had hoped you would be useful to me, but seems not."
Continuing on your collective journey to Phandalin, you travel until nearly sunset and find another suitable area for camping just off the road. (I’m assuming everyone stops to rest for the night) Feel free to describe what your character does and I’ll need to know who takes watch and in what order. Please put a perception roll in your post.
Belvarax, using his skills from being a wanderer in his past forages for enough food to feed anyone that needs it and returns to camp with an abundance of berries, nuts and meat. Looking about camp and at all the others that he has met, nods his head in satisfaction and contemplation, "Anyone good at cooking? I have some foraged foods that just need a bit of tending to."
He then goes to build a fire for cooking and warmth, building it to be small as to not draw too much attention their way. He then gets out his cask and pours a drink for himself and offers one to any in his group that would have one with him.
Belvarax will sit up with anyone for watch, and will be adamant not to watch on his own at night, and will assist any on perception that he can. (in hopes to give advantage).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rolo will approach Belvarax and say, " I am good at cooking...i can help you with that. I can also help you with the watch, since i can see well enough in the dark ..."
Adorabella helped get the oxen and Onyx settled for the night, adding some grains to the grazing grasses at the campsite. She checks the scene for trash, because you should always leave the area better than you found it! "Belvarax, I see Rolo is helping with dinner and your second watch, I think I'll take the watch after you, I've always been an early riser! "
"Aðalsteinn, I would gladly take morning watch with you, to be an extra set of eyes as the morning streams!" She beams and bustles, breaking out her sleeping digs and gathering spare tinder within eyesight of the camp.

As Rolo hears what Belvarax just said he goes, "I'm fine! Just need some water...", and jumps back inside the wagon.
"Hey, Aðalsteinn, think you can sharpen these darts?"
"Families?" Looks off in deep thought. "I...have never thought of families. They may seek revenge, I will have to adjust to this possibility. Eliminate quickly and leave or eliminate the whole family to ensure my safety."

Jargrax immediately taking the first watch takes his weapon and stands watching around them as the other start setting up for the night.
