"I'm feeling a bit woozy, but think I'll be alright, Threestrings. Thanks for pulling it off me! Yeah... I better go before she tries climbing in to see if there are more trolls to kill..."
The little halfling girl wipes her daggers off on a dry spot on her shirt and sheathes them on her way to Aimee.
"Not every night, but sometimes things get exciting here. We gotta stay up here though, or you won't get to hear Threestrings' song!"
She tries to lead Aimee away, not wanting the attention drawn to them... but with her covered in her own blood and Aimee tossing around magic and finishing the troll, that ship has probably sailed. Pickpockets that get noticed don't stay in the profession long, but she's not leaving her friend, and settles for smearing some of the blood on her face to make her less recognisable.

"Thank you sir," Dneevar tells the man, "but I don't think I should be called hero." He sips his mulled wine as he lays on the floor, trying to let his wounds heal before doing anything else. "As for adventurers, no, I am not one, but I guess I would be willing to help you out." He drags himself toward the bearded man. "Calm down Rose! It's only a wine and a nice meal. And you easily have more gold than most of us here combined." Seeing that his words take no effect on Rose's attitude, he sighs to himself and thinks, Nobility problems. Good thing I'm not one of them.
Alden sheathes his sword and leans against the table as he places a hand on himself, a light golden energy flowing into himself for a few seconds. "That was certainly more then I was expecting..." He utters as he wearing nods to the man, keeping a watch on his current job as he does so.
The figure who approached you strokes his mustache, adjusts his floppy hat, and tightens his scarf. “Volothamp Geddarm, chronicler, wizard, and celebrity, at your service. I trust you’ve noted the violence in our fair city these past tendays. I haven’t seen so much blood since my last visit to Baldur’s Gate! But now I fear I have misplaced a friend amid this odious malevolence.”
”Seeing the way you all valiantly protected the people of this tavern, I hoped you might help me find him.”
”Haha, I would hope not, wow, that smile is.. something. I just need you to help find my friend. Shall we take a booth and I can give you more details.
"I had not known that my home city had become so violent. I shall have to send a notice to check on my family." Alden says, giving the man a stern look as his speech continues. If the man was so famous then why had he not helped with the beast. "Although I can't say that I have heard of you I am willing to pursue your request if the cause is worthy... And of course pays well."
“Haven’t heard of me.... Hmph, must not be a big reader! I’ll throw in a signed copy of my latest book, it really is a must read if you plan to fight any more monsters!”
“Ahh, a lady if taste I see, not a ladyfriend at all.” He giggles, winking at Rose
Once everybody is seated, Volo continues - “My friend’s name is Floon Blagmaar. He’s got more beauty than brains, and I worry he took a bad way home a couple nights ago and was kidnapped — or worse. If you agree to track him down with all due haste, I can offer you ten dragons apiece now, and I can give you each ten times that when you find Floon. May I prevail upon you in my hour of need?”
He throws down 6 bags filled with coins (10gp each) and a copy of Volo’s guide to monsters which he hastily signs and pushes towards Alden with a cheeky wink, pointing his fingers and making a clicking noise with his tongue.
"Not much time for reading when one is fighting orcs and the like. I shall have to take the time to skim through your book if I come across the time to do so." Alden said as he looked to Rosamund with a quirked eyebrow as she flirted with the strange wizard, picking the book up as he eyed the coin on the table.
On his way to joining Volo in the secluded area, Dneevar makes sure to stop by the counter, grab what's left of his brisket, and quickly thank Durnan for his hospitality.
"Volothamp Geddarm?" Dneevar repeats. "Yes, I believe I know about you. I have read your works, and let me just say, I am a huge fan of your heroics. Even if I slew Tiamat herself I wouldn't yet live up to your name. I'd be happy to take a job for someone so well-known as you any day. And no, I haven't noticed the violence in this city. I have been at home recuperating from a traumatic incident of my own. But now that I've somewhat recovered I would be willing to help find your friend."

Aimee lets herself be pulled a short distance away but starts dragging, looking back at the bearded man and saying,
"But Lyss! That guy wants to talk to us!"
She turns back and waves with a now not burning hand.
Lyss sighs and goes with Aimee, steering her away from the well.

Not letting go of Lyss's hand she heads to wherever the bearded man is sitting.
"Hi! I just killed a troll! What did you want to talk about? This is Lyss, she killed a batbug!"
If there is a seat, she sits.
She smiles warmly at the dragonborn dragging himself over.
Lyss grins a bloody grin.

Durnan walks off, ignoring Rose. The bearded man tries to get her attention.
”Never mind him, he’s just an old grump - I’ll get you anything you need if you consider my job offer. That offer goes out to all six of you!”

Aimee whispers loudly and rapidly to Lyss,
"So many heroes! Is this an interview? Are we wanting to work? What do heroes do for work?!?"
She turns the man with the bearded man,
"Yes! More trolls?"
”Haha, I would hope not, wow, that smile is.. something. I just need you to help find my friend. Shall we take a booth and I can give you more details.

"Kinda sounds like it..."
Lyss shrugs as she whispers to Aimee.
"If the pay's good, I suppose work would be alright... mostly heroes do the minimum they need to so they can brag and lie in the tavern after."

Back to Lyss, kind of whispering,
"I can already lie about doing things! I want to do the things and then lie about not having done the things!"
She smiles on hearing he 'likes' her smile,
"Most people say that it looks like it hurts, but it really doesn't anymore!"
She looks to Lyss for whether or not they should follow the old bearded man into a booth with these other heroes!

"Don't worry, I can show you how to do things and lie about not doing them."
Lyss rolls her eyes at the fancy fire girl talking up the old guy, but takes Aimee's hand to follow them into a booth.

Then on seeing the book,
"Oh! I read that! You have another?"
