History: You do not seem to recall the figure or location from memory.
Perception: Within the coat of arms you can make out a raven in flight situated in front of a long shield, at the top appears to be a castle. Other than that it appears to be a minted/pressed coin.
Nodding his head in thanks he proceeds to walk with the group Falling back in line since with his hands full he would prove little use in the front lines.
As Dormark returns to the rest of the group, cradling the corpse of mauled man, it is agreed that they would continue on down the path through the Svalich Woods.
The tension is palpable, exacerbated by recent discoveries. In spite of this the next half hour transpires without major incident; the distant wolf howl, occasional rustling of the woodland branches, and flickering of strange shadows cast by the parties torches aside.
As the path continues on the woods start to thin. Moonlight illuminates the land in front of you - grassy fields, a stream to your left, and signs of civilisation! The path continues for around a mile and a half before being intersected by a small village. Overlooking the village a large castle stands on a rocky outcrop - it's presence domineering the landscape.
For the members of the party which saw the imagery on the coin, the castle is unmistakably that which is depicted within the coat of arms.
Any relief felt by the party at coming across the sight of the village is short lived.
A low moan echoes out from the path up ahead (around 30ft away), as a couple of scarecrows lurch into view. Their sackcloth eyes and rictus are ripe with malevolence, and their guts are stuffed with dead ravens. They have long, rusted knives for claws.
(irRyO please roll for me I’m sorry. I would do it, but need to get to work, but don’t want to hold the others back if I don’t need to. My bonus is +1 without the proficiency bonus.)

Sandu stopped dead in his tracks when the scarecrows shambled into his view and he instinctively took a step back. He was equal parts scared, anxious and curious.

From the rear of the party the first thing Ioben sees is the reaction of the rest of the group. Sandu stopping in his tracks and Valerie drawing her sword were clear indicators of the threat ahead. Ioben’s bow comes up as the figure becomes clearer in the gloom.
The stumbling figures loooked like some twisted vision of a crazed child. Who would create such a thing? But if we had a walking suit of armour, why not a scarecrow?
Dormark - you are currently carrying the corpse of an unknown male commoner, though you remain as sharp as ever. The scarecrows look as though they are baying for blood or, worse, oil... They seem to be fixated on the party, as though they have found their quarry. You act first.

(Sorry for taking so long to post I was at work and for some reason my phone doesn't like downloading the editor when I'm not on wifi.)
Putting the body down gently but swiftly he pulls out his mace and shield. Walking directly towards the first scarecrow, the Warforge offered up a pray. "Moradin Bless my blade with your fire so I may strike down the evil before me." he says casting Searing Smite The maces head glows a bright white as Dormark swings his mace at the first scarecrow.
It is a fearsome sight as Dormark charges towards the monstrosity his mace aflame. As his attack thumps down on the scarecrow it's straw and sackcloth frame ignites. The area is immediately lit in yellows and oranges as the scarecrows form looks more like a funeral pyre than construct.
Dormark, you can tell that not only did your attack have great effect on the scarecrow but also that it seems particularly vulnerable to the fire damage you dealt.

CRACKLE, SIZZLE, POP! The scarecrow seems unphased as the fire roars all over its body. The ravens trapped inside it's cage-like body have perished.
Scarecrow Saving Throw: Success

It's hollow eyes fix upon Dormark as it swipes twice with its knife-like claws.
Scarecrow Claw Attack Rolls:
Attack: 4 Damage: 4
Attack: 23 Damage: 13
The scarecrow's first attack meekly paws at Dormark's thick metallic body. The second manages to rake across Dormarks chest dealing 7 Slashing Damage. Dormark can you please make a Wisdom Saving Throw.
Even as the sound of the creature's strange blade-like talons raking across the metallic golem's body screeches in his ears, Alder is moving. He rushes past the dwarf, his free hand reaching beneath his coat to the small case of throwing javelins tucked at his waist. He slips one free and hurls it at the second demon, hoping to draw its attention in his direction.
As Alder unleashes the javelin he knows instantly that his throw was off. THUNK! The javelin sails past it's intended target and impales the nearby tree.
Baern time to leap into action - it is your turn.

"Oh dear, um, ah... I can help, Dormark!" Baern summons the courage to charge in with his hand axe to try to help his new, fascinating friend. Realizing he cannot get there before the scarecrows next attack, he gets about halfway there and then throws the handaxe at the fiery scarecrow attacking the warforged.
Dormark, the sheer ferocity of the incoming attack and resulting damage has shaken you to your core - could you survive another attack? is this what death feels like? what does it mean to expire?
You stand Frightened until the end of the Scarecrow's next turn.
