After a fair amount of struggling and straining the two of them manage to pull the door open with a loud wet pop.
As Kutulun peers within she notes the mouldering remains of bound codices, the shelves now slumping with rotten leather and crumbling papyrus. As her eyes pierce the darkness she makes out a door in both the left and right wall and a multitude of crawling insects covered everything.
Mal saw nothing but darkness beyond the door until the light was raised.
"For how abandoned and forgotten most of these tunnels are, I'm surprised at how well used they seem to be. If people are coming through from the temple down here, I don't see that these creatures would be about if the path we well tread. Maybe it is down one of the corridors back there?"

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mal starts poking his way through the moldering scrolls, trying not to put his hand in anything squishy. When at the two doors farther in the chamber, he'll listen at each door to see if he hears anything on the other side:

Mal finds, curiously, that the door is held in place by a mouldering bar on this side. Touching it it collapses and the door swings open toward him....the inside of the door is covered in old scrape marks and scratches.
A sleeping mat and desk stand against the far wall. The skeletal remains of a man in Garunam dress are curled up on the mat, the wall smeared with old blood in ancient Sanskriti, he is able to puzzle some of it out based on the other writings he has found it mostly seems to be begging mercy from his gods and salvation from the undying slavery of the Serpentine Kapala.
"Well, it's a good thing that wasn't creepy or anything. Let's check the other side."
The left hand door opens easily into a short corridor, the corridor ends in a square room stacked with stone, and wooden tablets. Little else can be seen from this vantage point.

Assuming they're fairly far from the entrance, Krikoris will light a torch and take a look around.
As the light enters the room thousands of insects and other arthropods hasten to get away from the light, scurrying into the mildewed pages...
Krikoris glances around, "And this is why anything important should be carved in stone or engraved on gold plates."
"I was never much for reading anyways, po. Let's see where those doors go."

Cinta listens carefully and hears some footsteps back near the entry into the catacombs....
There is utter silence beyond both doors.
"We are going to have to hurry," says Cinta.

Mal pulls a coin from his pouch, flips it, inspects the results quickly, and then points to the right. "This door."
He then tries to open it.
Mal finds, curiously, that the door is held in place by a mouldering bar on this side. Touching it it collapses and the door swings open toward him....the inside of the door is covered in old scrape marks and scratches.

Mal enters, and takes a look at the tablets.
Krikoris follows the others curiously, "A prison for one and a library?"
