Keruda stands tall, arms crossed at his chest and a gruff look on his face. Surveying everything. With a loud, booming voice, he speaks “One person’s actions for thievery do not speak for an entire community. Let the boy go, he is but a young-in. Let him speak, let him plead his case.”
Jupp speaks up "You would all gang up on a child? So what if he is a theif! would you kill someone just for looking at you wrong in this town?" Jupp sets the child on his feet keeping a firm grip on his sholder and pumps a cure wounds into him to make sure there is no damage "Now child would you like to explain you actions and why you have the coin?"
Approaching the Garunam onlooker, Samnang sidles up to someone. "Hard times for local Garunam at the moment?"
The old womans face lit up at the sight of the small gnome, " True, Adik...true. Been long time like this though, I'm not too fussed. Long time ago we did far worse to them and it takes longer to heal a wound than to make one."

None of the men seemed to want to test the two warriors, but the boy stayed quiet.
After a few tense moments a half-dozen men with machete and rattan shields come racing up the street, a graying, scar-faced man at their head.
Two of the men take in the goliath and the orc-blood with curious looks but look the boy over seemingly satisfied he is unharmed.
The older man is furious at his fellow Lokanan for their excursion into freelance justice, and he orders his men to break up the mob with their fists and no particular mercy. The crowd begins to disperse almost immediately, though the lady talking to Samnang remains, confident no one is going to strike an old woman.
He then rounds on the group of obvious visitors, " I am Isow Abo. Most this mob just call me Pak or Uncle though."
" I thank you for saving boy, even if he is too cheeky for his own good.", he gave the boy a very light clip about the ears.

Rala takes the distraction to gather up the coin spilled across the ground, noting the situation seemed to be under control. She held the now full sack in an open palm, as though waiting for the older man or one of the prominent members of the mob to take it from her. When the other gang rushed in to break up the violent gathering and dispersed the mob it left her standing somewhat awkwardly, arm still partially outheld with the sack waiting to be plucked from her grasp. In the end, she loops the string of the purse through her belt and lets it sit beside her own coin pouch, both tucked safely in the crook of her back under the layers of cloth and the length of the javelin secured over her shoulder. She sighs, arms locked together in a tight brace as she watches the others interact with 'Uncle'.
(Perception, just wanting to see if anyone is still around watching our group and/or Isow) 4

Your unable to make out anyone paying particular attention, you note Isow has marked the purse but from his expression seems to consider it fair recompense for saving the boy.

Turning To Isow, " I doubt this is a common ocurance, does the boy have a family or are you his guardian?" Jupp atempts to relax his tense mussels still keeping a hand on the kids sholder. Jupp will look around for any signs of the crowd watching for an opotunity to catch the boy off guard 21

" More and more common."
" I'm sure he does, we'll hold him at the compound until we locate them for his own safety. I am the guardian of this city, but not of this particular child."
Uncle Isow frowned, “Everyone knows” that the Gurawan have light hands, but lately some of them have been paying visits to merchants at night, inviting them to contribute to the good of the Gurawan community. Those merchants who fail to donate are targeted relentlessly by urchins such as the boy. The extortionists come masked and under cover of darkness, but the extortion is never for simple silver- it’s for donations of food to the Gurawan poor and gifts of their wares to Gurawan labourers. If it were a payment to a specific man or woman, I could trace it back, but a bribe paid to a whole community makes it hard to affix the blame justly."
" But it seems some....like this mob you just saw off have begun taking matters into their own hands."
" I was just on my way to deal with another incident like this when I heard the cry go up."
" Would you care to accompany me....I'll send my men to escort the boy to the compound and start a search for his family...I cannot delay attending the other incident any longer. I need strong backs and kind hearts for this one....and being outsiders you have no stake on either side."

Clancy nods, remaining quiet at the back of the group. Watching.
(Can I roll insight to see if Isow is on the level? Is he actually as "benevolent" towards the child as he seems?)

The older man does indeed seem to be sincere, though generally angry at the world and with a general air of ' I'm too old for this shit'.

Keruda will move to stand near the boy, keeping guard for him, but wont join in conversation.

Clancy looks from Isow to Keruda to Jupp to Samnang to Rala and back to Isow.
"That doesn't sound like extortion to me, sounds like the down trodden asking for their fair share", Clancy mutters.
Then louder and with a slight smile, "Strong backs AND kind hearts? I'm not sure if all five of us have both..."
"With regards to the matter at hand I will reserve judgement until I see the bigger picture."
" Reserving Judgement is always wise.", he smiled gently.
“Seems at least some have the boy's best interests at heart” Samnang smiles at the Gurawan woman.
Looking toward Clancy she calls out, “Just because I’m short doesn’t mean I couldn’t have both!”
(How does the woman seem to be reacting to the narrative Uncle is telling about Gurawan extortion, Insight: 2)
Hard to read, theres something in her eyes but she's not making any strenuous denials or anything.
"I will follow but if we find more of the same I am not against roughing up those who would attack the less fortunate" states Jupp

"Are you saying short people CAN be kind?" Clancy's grin widens.
Clancy's face becomes serious again and with a nod towards Isow, "Lead the way... Uncle?"
Iwon nodded, " Quite rightly so."
“What are we waiting for then?” Samnang nods courteously to the woman and moves to join the others.
