Gorm feels around and delivers a solid blow to the creatures head. It stumbles backwards and hisses in pain as Corwin leaps upon one the guards and bites his head off. An arrow fires from a distance slams into the other guard as Gruenic summons a bean of celestial energy that wears the area. The guard screams as his flesh boils under the harsh white light. With an effort of will, Gruenic pushes the beam to block the entrance of the doorway.
Crying out in pain, the guard dives out of the light and fumbles with his weapon for a moment before a flash End loud bang split the stormy air. The wolf stumbles backwards and turns back into a man as piercing pain lances through his body. At the same time, a glowing both of energy is fired from Cifray that blasts apart the guard's skull. The creature swings it's large claws through the air towards the monk, but she nimbly dodges out of the way.
The remaining enemies rush outside into the conflict. The beam of moonlight scorches their forms as they exit the building. The human guards, however, stay inside and fire their arms at the party. The beasts howl in rage as they cut into the party, but the party fights back just as fierce. Cifray and Shadow hammer them from afar with their ranged strikes, and the others stay up close and endure the monster's assault. The creature with the staff slams his staff into the ground, and the Moonbeam shatters out of existence. With a grin, it fires a lance of pure darkness that slams into Gorm. She reels backward in pain, and one of the beasts uses that as an opportunity to deliver a claw strike. The guards shoot their guns again, and Cifray and Gruenic both take damage. Then, chaos rules.
You a few soon lost under an overwhelming assault. Things are looking badly and some are close to dropping when the villagers shout out a battle dry and join the fight. They trample the guards and rush outside to help defeat their captors. With their help and with several casualties, you defeat the invaders and restore peace to the village. After a solemn funeral for the fallen, they celebrate your arrival and timely rescue with feasts and parties that last several days. With gifts of gratitude, the party happily feels their way back to Elvire for their next task.
Sorry this didn't work out. I honestly feel terrible that I couldn't do more. DMing takes a lot of time, time I don't currently have. I'm so sorry this didn't work.
Gruenic moves the moonbeam onto the human guard, burning him and then moves it back to the door.

It’s all good. Life happens. Enjoy the holidays, there’s always other games and such...
We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.

Thanks for everything. And, hey, if we're going to end here, at least I got to go out with my character biting off a monster's head! Be well all.
