The next morning dawns, judging by your internal clocks anyway, as no light penetrates into the tower.

As you awake, you notice gobbets of slime dropping from the ceiling, but never making it to the floor.

Barnabus rises early the next morning. He takes a few moments to split out the coins that Wil found in to 5 piles of

Once done he scoops up his pile and retreats to sullenly eat some rations as he waits for the rest to wake.

As you watch what seems to be an unending source continue to drop globs of the goo, it suddenly vanishes without a trace.

Kina grumbles as Bart stirs, grabbing a hold of him and squeezing him back in against her.
"Nngh. Cold." she complains, but slowly comes around.
"Huh?" she rubs her eyes as she fully awakens.
"I said I was sorry, I didn't know that I'd squeeze--oh, you're not talking about last night, and I should definitely shut up now." she clears her throat, too slow to notice what Bart saw.
"What was it?" she asks, stuffing herself back into her running harness with all the grace and propriety of a frat boy the morning after.

A troubled Barnabus, seeing that the others have just seen what he saw, addresses the group. 

"I don't know about the rest of you but I had some disturbing dreams of large eyes last night. Now that could be because of what we witnessed on the road in. But seeing that hallucination just now reminds me of something from when I was a young lad. I don't recall a lot of details at the moment, but some miners found a creature while following a vein. It could penetrate a mind and cause it to see things. Might be we have the same sort of thing here. I think we should push on through the tunnel. If my calculations are correct I believe it is a secret exit from the larger building and may provide us a way in undetected. However, Guard your minds close because what you think you see may not be real"

"Yea... this place is utterly weird... Weirder than a talking rooster." He tries a joke, but seems tense "Let's move forward before anything weirder happens."
