I would very much like to meet your Mrs. Nick, but it appears you are headed away from home rather than toward it. Is that right?" Lukian comments
"Yup, I'm heading south but if you're ever up north pop in for a cuppa and a piece of cake. Mrs Nick will make sure you don't go away hungry that's for sure"he says patting his ample girth.

Late afternoon, Day 2, Second Ten-day, Month of High sun – in sight of Bryn Shander
It is now 11 days since the party left Luskan and six days since the party said farewell to Old Nick and continued to make their way towards Bryn Shander. As they climbed away from the coast on the Ten Trail which connected Fireshear to the Icewind Dale they passed through the town of Hundelstone – where fortunately they were able to restock on rations because otherwise they would have run out of food yesterday. Unfortunately most of their restocked rations consisted of hare in various forms and having lived on it for the past three days they are heartily sick and tired of hare.
As the party has been climbing further into the Icewind Dale they have noticed that Old Nick was right – the sun hadn’t rise for several days now – ever since they crossed the Spine of the World. Furthermore the weather has got steadily worse despite the fact that it is the middle of summer – well supposedly.
Ahead of them through the blowing snow the party can make out on a hill ahead of them a walled town. According to their map this is Bryn Shander the largest town in Icewind Dale and the location of their new business venture. The town’s walls stand some 30 feet high and a path leads off the main trail towards what look like a set of closed gates.

Thallan looks at the Piper for a second, then gives Bryn a quick glance before heading off toward the closed gates. Approaching, if they haven't been greeted in any way, he'll bang on them with his fist and yell, "Hello!"
"We have recently taken possession of a business here in Bryn Shander. May we gain entry?"
"Bought a business here in Bryn Shander? The only businesses doing well here are lantern and candle shops but each to their own" the voice says as the gate slowly opens.

"No," says The Piper, "I think he has done enough for us."
