Fungi. Gardens of fungus sprout from mounds of offal on the uneven floor. The fungi release clouds of dimly luminescent spores that fill the cave like a fine, hanging mist.
Carrion Crawlers. Four carrion crawlers dwell here. Two cling to the 10-foot-high ceiling, and two feed on the rotting corpse of a fifth carrion crawler lying amid the fungus. They seemed occupied doing whatever carrion crawlers do when they're not watching TV, or whatever, so yeah.
Someone who passes a DC 10 Intelligence (Nature) check here can read the spoiler below:
You can distinguish edible varieties from the poisonous ones, good for you! You can also ascertain that the spore clouds are harmless.

"Oh, more fungus!" Diesa says rather excitedly as she crouches on her haunches and examines them. (Nature 19)
"Oh excellent, some of these are edible. Anyone want to try one." she asks the others as she pops one of them in her mouth. While she's there, she plucks a few of both the edible and poisonous ones and store them in one of the pouches of her pack.
Gnomon is deathly afraid of fungi, and anything associated with living amongst them, so she steadfastly refuses to pop out of the shadows and accept Diesa's offer of the mycelium. Instead, she starts hiking (with the group...no splitting up!) in the shadows, towards area 3.
Chronolo politely declines the offering of fungi, stating that Warforged do not require food to eat. The construct thinks to itself for a moment. Did it even have an esophagus?
Regardless, Chronolo stalks after Alexa. The Warforged remembers another construct in the assembly line it was manufactured in that was also called Alexa. She was an excellent listener.
As you peek through the door, you see two enormous male fire giants and seven hobgoblins sorting through pieces of scrap iron on the floor and tossing them noisily into piles. Two statues of dwarves flank the double door to the southwest. Each statue stands atop a crumbling, 2-foot-high stone block. The statues have been reshaped, it seems, in gruesome ways. The statue to the west has stony pseudopods sprouting from it, while the statue to the south appears half-melted. All the monsters in this area have not spotted you yet, the noise and preoccupation of what they're doing has their attention for now.
When the giants came into view, Diesa silently gasped in shock before quickly trying to get out of view. When she noticed Gnomon attempt to sneak past them, her jaw nearly fell to the floor. Is she trying to get stomped by those giants? she thought to herself incredulously.

Anyone sneaking by needs to beat an 18. You would be able to sneak north, but NOT through the double doors towards the right. If you fail to roll an 18 or higher on a stealth check, you alert the monster group.

Determining that she was not instantly spotted, Diesa quietly signaled to the others from her hiding spot and whispered, "I think I can help shield us from there view." Opening her palm out towards the group, a batch of small glowing motes floated towards each of them before fading from view. "Though it's not noticeable to us, we should be partially shrouded from them." Then taking a deep breath, she stepped forward into the hall and as quietly as possible followed Gnomon's lead.

Chronolo's gears weren't made for stealth. The Warforged Subtle Spells and traces his Hex upon one of the fire Giants, giving them disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks. The mechanical core of Chronolo's body similarly whirrs, drawing a small amount of clockwork power to give Chronolo resistance to slashing damage.
Then, it approaches, clunkily mimicking the more stealthy members of the party. Here goes: 15
In an offering of peace, Chronolo extends a robotic palm, dinging out a delectable selection of the world's finest pop-tarts. Home baked! They come with a side of Eldritch Blasts. Those are free.
Wow, that's rough, Alexa.
