The javelin strikes the goblin knocking him off balance as the spells stike him simultanoleously shattering his body. He falls dead on the steps just outside the room.
“They may come...” Grol whispered with a snarl “...and meet the fate of their brethren. If everyone has rested, perhaps we should get going. I agree that our position has likely been compromised. I like Malakadin’s idea. We don’t need to get flanked and find ourselves surrounded.”
Grol heads over towards the ropes. “I will go down first to make sure we don’t have any unwelcomed visitors.”
I think it's presumptuous to think we wouldn't face anything as bad. I mean that statement alone at a table would have me searching for a dragon in the MM as a DM ;-) but you are right, as far as our characters know that was the boss, but that doesn't mean there isn't 50 goblins on their way to our area right now.
I believe for climbing up the rope had given us advantage, is that still the case here?
"Is it best for us to go down?" Sol proposes to Grol "I get where your idea for that comes from but going the other direction would be the way that they must've expected us to come in, if they had set up anything, potentially going that way would be less advantageous even if they were just alerted to our presence."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sol picks himself up muttering to himself "This is why I didn't want to come back down here." Looking slightly deflated Sol says a few words gripping his crystal as he stands up and a glow emanates from him as his body once again appears to become more resilient as he casts False Life using his Eldritch Invocation gaining: 8 Temp HP.
Grol stands, wincing. Despite the pain of the landing, he can’t help himself but laugh. “You are one tough Warlock, my friend!“ and slaps Sol solidly on the shoulder
OOC: I suspect that is one seriously dead goblin.

"Or, I guess that works too" Malakadin said with a bit of a grin.
"Perhaps we should be a little more cautious moving forwards, he may have alerted others with his yelling!"

Athletics check for climbing down the rope. Dc 10 or take 2d6 bludgeoning damage from the fall.
Do we have to go down? We could just stay up and try to stealth our way in. We took out the boss, so most we would not face anything as bad as before.

Well, I’ll give it a try. Grol said as he grabbed the rope.
Wish me luck!
And with that, Grol started making his way down the rope.
“See? Easy as you please!”

“What’s that noise? Sounds like paper... tearing?”
Athletics Check to attempt to roll out of the fall? (3)
OOC: LOL! About what you’d expect from an orc Bloodline. The grace of a brick.
OOC: You should have advantage on that roll Grimm.
Sol follows Grol down "Aye, if your set on going that way I'll follow you."
