Mason examines the carriage and pulls out a few arrows. "We are able to move on. The carriage seems fine. I say we continue on and see what we find" He climbs back in.

You were able to pull out 1 whole bolts from the chariot, but the rest just broke upon pulling it
Just as everyone was getting back into the chariot, you see that the sun is setting on the horizon. "Ah, aren't the sunsets beautiful? This is why I like to give rides at night. We can't go forward during the night because this is when some monsters come out, so zi suggest we camp out here."
"I'll take middle watch,"Polly says (she has darkvision, able to see through normal and magical darkness, up to 120 feet). She will also direct the specter to circuit the campsite about 180 feet out, looking for anything odd or threatening. If it sees anything, it's to come back to her to alert her.
How far until our next destination? What's expected there? Do we have any leads on where this artifact is, or what it is?

The forest is just outside your field of vision, yet still far, I'm not telling you what you will expect, and all you know is that the Green Relic of Crolid is in the MistGrove region, you know nothing else of it.
Through the night, both the specter and owl keep watch through the night, but find nothing. During the middle of the night, on Polly's shift, anyone who was already awake feels very exhausted, and everyone dozes off to sleep.
Everyone has the same strange dream.
You find yourselves, with your companions among you. You are inside a pitch black room that even those with darkvision can't see the surrounding area, all you can see is each other. Then through the darkness, you hear a god-like voice "You are coming a long way, even though your journey is just beginning. I see your taking on a task that nobody has accomplished before, but I shall be your guide to survive such a journey."
The voice laughs "I am the guardian spirit of this land, but I've been sealed within another realm, this place where you lie in your subconscious state. I can sense there is hope in each of you. You may be able to save this kingdom from a state of ruin."
Polly asks sleepily, "That sure would be generous. Who are you? Bahamut? And what's the deal with the king? I think we're a bit lost on where this first artifact would be. How can we find it?"
"I am not Bahamut, but I did have close ties with him. I am nameless, I am the guardian of Dragoneye, and the kingdom before it. I watch over this kingdom, but I know none of the king's intentions, or why he is acting so unusual. I am aware the king asked you to recover the five relics of Chroma, but I'm pleading to you to recover them. They each have the spirits of five lesser guardians of the kingdom trapped within. If you are able to recover their relic, you should be able to free their spirits, and they may be able to help stop this war."
"You did have close ties with him? Are they close no longer?" Caya asks. "If so, why? And do you know anything about the relics of Chroma besides what region they are in? Like a more... precise location?"
He remains silent for a moment "I lost contact with everyone ever since I was sealed within this dark realm, I can't talk to anyone outside of this realm, except if they're in their subconscious bodies. Finding the Relics of Chroma is your job, not mine, but I recommend asking some of the elders of each town for information, or you can try the libraries to see if you can find clues."
(I'm just letting you guys discuss what you are doing next, so that's why I'm not responding yet
Mason examines the carriage and pulls out a few arrows. "We are able to move on. The carriage seems fine. I say we continue on and see what we find" He climbs back in.
Lot's of stuff ...
Polly agrees that moving on seems to make the most sense. "We may want to stay off the main roads, to avoid ambushes."

"We should schedule watches as we travel to keep at least person on guard so we are not surprised. I'll take first watch, if no one minds"

"I can take last watch," Caya offers.

As they setup camp Mason instructs his owl to help keep watch through the night as well.

Can we reply in the dream?
Yes, you are able to reply in the dream as if it were "reality"
"Who are you?" Caya breathes, in awe of this... being that called them here. "Why do you want to help... us of all people?"
The voice laughs "I am the guardian spirit of this land, but I've been sealed within another realm, this place where you lie in your subconscious state. I can sense there is hope in each of you. You may be able to save this kingdom from a state of ruin."

"Libraries, like going back to school" Mason says eagerly. "Sounds fun. Is there anything you can warn us about? Dangers we should avoid?"
