I've deducted, and tell me if it's right, that an AC of 20 can block/reduce any damage besides specified damage, such as magic damage to plate mail, that is at or below 20. I'm going to reduce my HP by 1. Is this correct? If not, please correct me. I need to know all I can for next time. After all, there's always something new to learn, even if it's a subject you know quite well.]

(pretty sure you would take the 5 points off being that they hit higher than your AC, the fact that you didn't take damage from the other two is the damage reduction that your plate mail gave you. Again I am learning but this is how I understand it)
