Before Eclipse wanders off to find Sally Ruby, Laitraxa speaks to him. "Eclipse. That woman... the blind witch who tried to kill you and vanished, with the strange magic? She said she was supposed to be on the airship The Hungry Sky, and was from Gallows Glens. I don't know if you caught the name of the... beast... we just fought. It was the Hungry Sky. Do you find this... odd?"
She looks back to Theena and Druaz. "They performed well. With Balzachi gone, we could use more help aboard. Perhaps some more crew could be useful?"
Jenaer bows to Theena and Druaz. “Welcome aboard! I am the ships chef, Jenaer, although I’ve had to diversify my skillset lately, not that I’m complaining.” Straightening up, he adjust himself. “The two of you were quite impressive, you’ve earned my respect. My apologies for killing a couple of your companions, you can imagine how it seemed from our point of view here....... perhaps a good steak will make up for your loss? It truly is the leanest meat I’ve ever found.”
Before heading to the Galley, he stops, a look of curiosity across his face. “If I may ask, what was possessing that ship? It seemed to laugh, as if it were sentient. I have read many tales of fantastical creatures, but this is something I’ve never heard of.”
Speaking with Laitraxa confidentially, Eclipse answers, "I was thinking along similar lines. That witch, the self-dubbed Lady Tellura Banvatri, said something about the captain of the Hungry Sky making her an offer. This episode leaves more questions unanswered even than asked so far. And I agree that by adding...motivated...individuals to the crew, we only stand to gain. I suggest we find out what the pixie and lizard woman know about it, and ask them their plans over a meal prepared by Jenaer if he is willing. And I am for offering them places aboard if doing so seems in keeping with their desires."
"I am at a loss as to what is to be done with the rest of those we rescued, given their precarious hold on consciousness. I hope the latter will change after they've eaten a solid meal. For the moment I expect to drop them off in Almantoes with Sally Ruby and Noticus Bin Bally." This last he states while looking inquiringly at Laitraxa, asking her opinion without asking.

Laitraxa nods, light reflecting off the brassy frills around her head. "Well, the two orcs, we can probably drop off anywhere. They provided me with the information about the stockades outside of Grag'shar, where they sell the slaves. I promised I wouldn't eat them or toss them back to the Hungry Sky if they gave me what I wanted."The dragon pauses, a amused snort of smoke coming from her nostrils. "And apparently one of the orcs in the cage was a drunken bachelor. We should make sure he gets off as well. The rest, well, I see no reason they couldn't make their way from Almantoes to whatever future they might have, once whatever drugs that are in their systems are no longer in their systems. They may have other homes or destinations, though, so we can always ask, and if it aligns, drop them off as we bear."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Druaz responds to Jenaer with a reserved tone and crossed arms. "I'm Druaz Xan-Darastrix." She pronounces with a mild draconic accent. "We never found out what the ship really was. I think we struck mimic off the list, but that's about it."
Insight for Jenaer: 8 (oh well)
Turning to Eclipse she says, "Well, mind if I ask if this ship has a Mark captain, and from which country? No offense if it doesn't, just thinking I should know."
“I’ll think you’ll find our captains name is Eclipse, not Mark. Very brazen of you to assume a name though! Maybe I should call you Lizzy if we are just assuming names now, though that’s not the etiquette anywhere I know of.” Jenaer looks befuddled at Lizzy’s question
Eclipse responds to the lizard woman, "Indeed, I sail with a letter of mark, and terms of service have been signed by all crewpersons. We are fortunate indeed, for this ship is the fastest and most versatile of its class, and as you saw, the crew is beyond measure.. It is a blessing to confidently sail knowing that all the legalities are likewise flawless."The mawn awaits her response, coyly, fingers crossed behind his back, hoping that she will ask to sign on. 'Oh yes,' he thinks, 'I could come right out and ask, but perhaps if it is her idea, I can shift arrangements in my favor.' He smiles confidently at Druaz. Does she seem to notice how attractive he is? (Insight: 22) (OOC: this is somewhere between deception (+3) and persuasion (+6) perhaps? Raw d20: 6)

He turns to the dwarven woman again, his fingers tracing a pattern in the air nonchalantly. “Ehrmm...what did you mean. About, ehrmmm, being 'shown the way on the word of a...mawn.' What ‘way’ did you mean?”

I think talking up your position is more Persuasion. People tend to know that 'my stuff is the best' isn't really meant as a literal statement. I'll go with the 15. On the Insight check, she seems to regard you in acceptable terms. Not so much attractive as presentable. If you had to guess, you'd say she doesn't see mawn in those terms. As Sally is about to respond, Druaz does.
"I'd be willing to sign on Captain. I'm not a trained sailor, but I'm willing to learn, and I can fight, at least when I'm not fighting a goddamn literal boat. The same go for you Theena?"
Laitraxa, who had followed Eclipse over, gives a serpentine grin to Druaz. "Excellent! I am glad you are willing to join us." Switching to draconic, the dragon says, "<Sometimes, the unscaled just don't know how life is, and can use a bit of guidance from us, descended from wiser creatures!>"Back in common, "We have a few unclaimed bunks, and Eclipse is a steady teacher. He's even been showing me the ropes, literally, though I try to stay on the rigging above and keep watch."
"And if there are any more demon ships out there, well, perhaps we might start hunting new prey."
Looking to the pixie, Laitraxa levels her head with Theena's eyeline. "The Reaver's Word is a good home, and the crew are good people - it's a life like one of the storybooks my mother had in her library, full of adventure. Care to add a chapter or two, Theena Arveene?"
Druaz is quiet and sullen when Theena talks to her.
"We're all that made it out in the end. Riordan, Kembe, Xial, Cinnabar... How many do you think there were before us?"
"Theena shuddered at the thought. "I don't know..." she replied quietly to Druaz. "...and I don't want to know. I'm just glad it's done for good and at least the others can rest easier now." she added more forcefully afterwards.
Theena, who had been quiet as she was lost in thought, finally responded to the members of the other crew. "I originally signed onto the Hungry Sky to help get me to a dwarven town that might have some information that I seek (ooc: can't remember what the name of the town was). Though I'm still learning how fly, if you'd be willing to at least take me there, I'd be willing to sign onto your ship for a time and help out where needed. I'm real small but handy and pick up most things fast so I can help out wherever."
Then turning to Jenaer, she added, "And I understand. Everything was a little hectic back there." she lied to the man. She could still clearly see Kempe's and Xial's deaths in her mind and wasn't able to forgive the man so quickly.
Eclipsepouts for a brief moment, but inhales deeply and seems very pleased with Druaz's response."Druaz Xan-Darastrix, I am glad to have you aboard. And Theena Arveene, you as well. We have been considering a visit to the Chasm Dwarves of High Shale, living just beyond the boarders of Can Tinodeus at some point. Perhaps after we drop off our guests, you could there discover the answers to your questions."
