Hello, it seems there is an issue with the Paladin's spell sheet. The spells from the subclasses in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Xanathar's Guide to Everything are not showing up on the spell list when I use a 2024 Paladin. Additionally, it seems that the 2024 Paladin sheet doesn't display spells that are always prepared on the list.
To clarify, in the updated classes, the subclass spells do appear on the main spell list, but they are missing from the "Manage Spells" window. Meanwhile, with the older compatible subclasses, the subclass spells don't appear either in the main spell list or the "Manage Spells" window.
BUG: The greatclub is a simple weapon (and thus a Monk weapon) but when equipped on a Monk it does not use Dexterity for the attack and damage, it shows values based on Strength. EXPECTED: The greatclub should show attack values based on Dexterity when equipped by a Monk, as it is a simple melee weapon (and thus a Monk weapon). See below.
Your practice of martial arts gives you mastery of combat styles that use your Unarmed Strike and Monk weapons, which are the following: * Simple Melee weapons * Martial Melee weapons that have the Light property
Dexterous Attacks. You can use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier for the attack and damage rolls of your Unarmed Strikes and Monk weapons.
I can confirm it does not add the Dex mondifier. I wonder if they expect us to customize it?
Backwards compatible, to EVERYONE in the real world, means all non-duplicated items/features are able to be plugged into ANY appropriate 2024 character. If an item has been replaced, such as Eldritch Sight, then just list those items that have been replaced by rules and we can call that an acceptable answer.
Another example of this problem is...
If I want to create a 2024 character, with one of the new/updated subclasses, and then multiclass into another 2024 class, but choose a Tasha's subclass, I can't currently do this with your tool, but can on paper, per the rules. This MUST BE ALLOWED while using the DnDBeyond tools.
This makes the DnDBeyond tool extremely less useful and resort some folks to use other platforms. I don't have to tell you what dollar issues that can cause.
I couldn't find any mention of this in mutliclassing or weapon masteries. I updated an old 12 Rogue/8 Barbarian character. First level was rogue and he currently only has 2 weapon masteries. Based on how the book is written multiclassing into barbarian gives you the barbarians weapon masteries (Should probably write something in the multiclassing section about weapon masteries also repeating, unless we're meant to get a boat load of weapon masteries through mutliclassing or put that before the multiclassing features). Anyways it should be 3 and it'd be hard to fix if you need more than 1 since weapon master is a non repeatable feat (Odd choice btw).
(edit) An error on my part, this is currently not an issue.

They do cover this in the multiclassing sections -- you get the class's level 1 features, which includes X weapon masteries. Barring a rule somewhere that specifically says otherwise, they'll stack, so your rogue/barbarian does have five.
However, five masteries isn't significantly better than three. Barring stunt builds where you're using the weapon-swapping rules to their most absurd extent, how often do you think you'll need more than three masteries between long rests?
From a neutral point of view, not all customer expectations are plausible or even desired by the development team. But this dude is not accurate in his complaint. I've been testing and you can absolutely multiclass to a Tasha's or Xanathar's subclass, one of my players is doing exactly that.
Please can the Artificer spell list be updated to include 2024 versions of the spells? Surely this is a fairly straightforward fix for the devs and would be a big win for those of us trying to port our existing characters and campaigns over to the 2024 rules. Having both versions of spells in the same session is very confusing and a fix would be greatly appreciated!
Magic Item bonuses to spell attack rolls are not calculated for spells granted by species features (eg: Fiendish Legacy) and class features other than Spellcasting (eg: Spell Mastery)
It is not DDB's goal to meet that expectation to attract those customers, unless attracting those customers is worth the effort put into attracting them. If it's literally 20 of you asking for it, that's not worth their while. They can focus on something 100 people asked for. The idea that someone is entitled to a change just because they asked for it is an egotistical fallacy.
I'll chip in and say I do want them to actually add full backwards compatibility as promised.
Backwards compability means anything that wasn't included in the PHB revision is still legal and accessible, and are valid choices by the PHBs own description: "But the book contains many new or redesigned elements, and the versions of things in this book replace versions from older books." - The book does not invalidate all of the existing options from Xanathar's and Tasha's, on the contrary. It specifically says it only updates the PHB. This is not a new edition. It is a revision, hence why DNDBeyond doesn't even list a lot of XGtE and TCoE options as Legacy: Because they are not.
You're also making an assumption of how many people want X over Y. I can promise you, we are a lot more than 20 people asking for the full backwards compatibility with al older books that wasn't updated/redesigned.
"Targeting Yourself. If a spell targets a creature of your choice, you can choose yourself unless the creature must be Hostile or specifically a creature other than you".
Missing words.
(PSA for people that uses the Quote function when replying on this forum: You know you can truncate the quotes manually, right? This is not cool. Not cool. :P )

Again, there was no such promise that all features would carry forward. To claim there was is a blatant lie. And the fact that multiple optional features from Tasha's made it into the base classes in the 2024 PHB highlights that the ones that didn't were intentionally left out. They're not MEANT to exist in the new form.
When creating a level 3 bard with PHB 2014 and choosing the sbclass it only gives the college of lore option from core or the college of eloquence from expanded rules, but no college of valor.

Check your entitlements, but it sounds like you accidentally picked the 2024 version of the class. The updated classes only see the more recent versions of things that have been updated.
For the legacy class, you not only need the legacy toggle on, but you need to scroll past the first set of classes.
Paladins and Rangers still don't get Fighting Styles.
Lessons of the First Ones (Warlock Invocation) doesn't let you pick a feat.
Lessons of the First Ones isn't repeatable, but should be.

This is an UNACCEPTABLE answer.

I just made a 12 rogue / 8 Barbarian and ended up with 5 weapon masteries. Looks like that's the intended number for that build to me.

I can't create a homebrew subclass using the Path of the Wild Heart as a template. Gives me an internal error every time.
I just tried it again and it worked, It looks like I selected the 2014 barbarian by mistake. My apologies everyone.

The usage of software terms to describe books is the biggest failing of the "backwards compatibility" wording.
