Why does the Retractable Shield require a different proficiency than regular shields? I'm not seeing anything in the equipment section of the book, nor in the item itself that says Retractable Shields require proficiency in Retractable Shields specifically. They're listed as a type of shield, so shouldn't they just require the basic Shield proficiency? Am I missing something in the book that says otherwise?

They're part of the Advanced Weapon Training feat, I thought?

Are they? Nothing in the item itself seems to indicate that, so it's something incredibly easy to miss if that's the case. They're advanced equipment, not a weapon, so it seems like the Advanced Weapon Training feat doesn't technically cover them.
Edit: under Advanced Equipment the book also says this: "Other items, like the Retractable Shield, are usable by anyone proficient with shields." So retractable shields shouldn't require a separate proficiency.

That, to me, indicates they were added to that list as part of a bulk item package.
More workload for the devs. Yay...

The weird thing is, it's not a bulk list. Retractable Shields are their own proficiency in beyonds character builder when they could have simply been given the shield proficiency like they should have been.
Yes I have my entitlements synced, yes I purchased this myself and for myself, and yes it is under my CPL. I do share this book with others, but it is originally my purchase, and yes i do have Grim Hollow enabled for the character.
The Green Reaper's (ranger subclass) Pain Tolerance feature says "Immediately before you take damage from a creature you can see within 60 feet of yourself, you can take a Reaction to gain Temporary Hit Points equal to the damage you take."
It should be immediately after, not immediately before.

Any updates on making Retractable Shields not require a specific proficiency? In the book it says "Other items, like the Retractable Shield, are usable by anyone proficient with shields." but on the character sheets you have to give a character proficiency with Retractable Shields manually as a separate proficiency.
This would be nice. There are some other abilities not tied to grimhollow that allow you to spend hit dice, so this would be convenient.

It seems like the Halfling heritage is listed as Medium size instead of Small size.

Hulking figure isn't providing the powerful build trait
