Oh, and we've found another bug. I can't select an origin species. For Size, I can only choose between (Other) and (Other species: medium or small). If I select only Other, the strength modifier isn't added; that only happens with (Other species: medium or small).
Made a lvl 20 Path of The Parasite Warlock, Lotol. These are some quick observations.
Lotols gain advantage on Acrobatics and Athletics checks when being grappled (Slippery) which is displayed on the app with an A next to those abilities. This may confuse some players into thinking they always have advantage on these checks. The details are displayed when selecting these checks to help but some of us are lazy and just use the quick reference. I would claim this is misleading and somewhat redundant because these advantages are already displayed under saving throws.
As mentioned before there are issues with Parasitic Weapon. Under Actions it displays as a Ranged Attack, not Melee. No range mentioned ("--" displayed). The hit dice applied appears to be dexterity with a dexterity damage bonus, opposed to Charisma and no damage bonus. Upon activating Virulent Form the hit dice does not change to 2d8, and stays as 1d12.
I had all the spells show up but the Black Tentacles showed up as the 2024 Evard's Black Tentacles. This makes arguably little difference. That being that it limits the check to only Strength(athletics) as opposed to a plain DEX or STR choice.
The bonus AC from Symbiotic Reinforcement: Shield does not apply automatically like other armor donned. (Edit: After some time this bonus did appear.)
Using the specific source material reference in hgtmh:p2 over the Class->Warlock->The Parasite will provide more information like level requisites and mechanic uses as well as the bonus invocation.
Questions:
Was it intended for Parasitic Weapon to be treated as a Cantrip for Eldritch Invocation Purposes?
Can Parasitic Weapon be used for a cantrip such as Ferocious strike, Green-Flame blade, or Vengeful Blade. If so, does it benefit from the range boost?

This comes up a lot when a game feature grants conditional advantage and it used to be you wouldn't get the flag, resulting in players forgetting. As such, it was a popular request that such conditional bonuses (and penalties) be displayed with an explanation. This is a hard-limit of digital sheets—the sheet cannot know when you're grappling and so cannot display the flag contextually. So the devs have settled on what is, IMO, the best solution. It seems better than that the flag be present with the context information and a player tries to apply advantage too often, than it not be there and the player miss opportunities to get advantage
There are two subclasses with similar names. I assume the Prerequisite for this one means "The Parasite" patron and not "Parasite" patron. But I will test.
Was it intended for Parasitic Weapon to be treated as a Cantrip for Eldritch Invocation Purposes?
Yes, but it has some special rules.
If you are the GM, consider allowing invocations that have the eldritch blast cantrip as a prerequisite to also benefit attacks the warlock makes with their parasitic weapon. For example, Repelling Blast would permit the parasitic weapon to push targets, while Agonizing Blast would allow the warlock to add their Charisma modifier to its damage rolls. However, take this with a pinch of salt; Eldritch Spear extends the weapon’s reach by a factor of 2.5 only, not 180 feet!
Tamer. We will not be including the Tamer class in the Compendium content for Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting: Part 2 or in the Character Builder due to the site's current tech limitations. This was a joint decision between Wizards and Loot Tavern.
Is it still readable in the book as purchased, though, even if not in the Compendium? If not, people will probably go for the PDF direct from Loot Tavern and just handle it on character sheets themselves.

I'm looking at right now — I haven't purchased it, but I can see it through content sharing from a friend — and I can tell you there is no Tamer section in the Classes chapter.

That seems strange, based on their statement. Or is all of the content of an individual book usually considered a part of the Compendium, and I just didn't realize it?

What statement? This is the statement they made on the matter, which clearly stats that the Tamer section would not be included at all.

That says not in the Character Builder and not in the Compendium. It DOESN'T say not in the book itself, if you go direct to the book in your Library rather than looking things up in the Compendium.
EDIT: I see that I have been erroneously thinking that Wizards has been using the English word 'compendium' when referring to the 'Compendium' or 'Compendium Content'. In English, a compendium is a collection of material from disparate sources, and saying that something is not included in a compendium does NOT imply that it must therefore be lacking from any of those individual sources from which the compendium is drawn.
What exactly they mean by "compendium" has not been super consistent over the years.
compendium is, generally speaking, all of the content you can read and is separate from the character builder
That is one way they have used that word in the past, yes. Sometimes they have also used it to refer solely to the pages for individual things (classes, spells, items, etc.) exclusive of the actual digital books.

The Skinshifter feat.
Skinshifter is a sorcerer subclass, not a feat. No clue why it's showing up like that on mobile
warlock parasite subclass expanded spells don't appear on spell list

Never got an answer. How do you get the new Eldritch Invocation "Parasitic Leech" to appear?
I tried both a 5.0 and a 5.5 Warlock, I can't see them in the Character Builder.
I just noticed that the prerequisite for Parasitic Leech is "Prerequisite: Parasite patron"
Words mean things and I believe this may be a link error to other material.
As I do not have any access to the Grim Hollow material for which I believe this patron resides, I can't verify this.

Nope, no Parasitic Leech invocation on either subclass.
