I bought the digital book on the D&D Beyond website using my iPad. When I went to checkout, I noticed there was a checkbox that appeared to be pre-selected as a “gift” option. I tried several times to uncheck it, but I couldn’t. After completing the purchase, the book wasn’t added to my book collection like my previous purchases. I checked my profile and confirmed that the transaction had gone through. Then I noticed a “Gifts” tab in my account, and the book was listed there as a gift. When I clicked on it, it took me to  a page with a barcode (or something similar, I don’t remember exactly). I used my phone to scan the QR code, followed the login process on D&D Beyond, and that did the trick, the book was finally added to my library.
