RELEASE NOTES
Ravenloft: The Horrors Within gives DMs the complete horror toolkit to bring their players’ most terrifying nightmares to life. With more detailed Domains of Dread to explore, fully stat-blocked Darklords to face, and more player options to dig into, Horrors Within is D&D’s most terrifying horror installment to date.
At this time, we've been made aware that there is an issue in the app with downloading the additional Shadows of Sithicus adventure book in iOS and are currently working on a resolution. Presently, there is no estimated time for the fix.The issue has been resolved and Shadows of Sithicus is now available for download on iOS!

SUBCLASSES
This book includes 7 subclasses:
Artificer: Reanimator *
Bard: College of Spirits
Cleric: Grave Domain
Ranger: Hollow Warden
Rogue: Phantom
Sorcerer: Shadow Sorcery
Warlock: Undead Patron
*Due to the inclusion of this Artificer subclass, the base Artificer class has been provided with this title.
These subclasses are mostly supported with the following callouts:
Reanimator. At this time, D&D Beyond cannot support companions, however, custom actions have been created to represent the Artificer's Reanimated Companion.
SPECIES
This book features 4 species:
Dhampir
Hexblood
Lupin
Reborn
These species are fully supported.
BACKGROUNDS
This book features 4 backgrounds:
Haunted One
Investigator
Mist Wanderer
Spirit Medium
These backgrounds are fully supported.
FEATS
This book features 2 Origin Feats and 9 Dark Gifts unique to the Ravenloft setting. These feats are fully supported.
Note: A DM might allow a player to select a Dark Gift instead of an Origin feat. In this case, the feat can be manually added on the character sheet by going to Features & Traits > Manage Feats.
MAGIC ITEMS
The book features 2 magic items imbued with the powers of their Darklords. These magic items are fully supported.
MONSTERS
The book features 68 monster stat blocks amongst which include the Darklords themselves. These monsters are mostly supported with the following callouts:
Darklord XP. The stat blocks for the Darklords have been designed to allow for DMs to take the Darklord beyond the borders of Ravenloft or battle within their domains. Due to system limitations the monster listings for Darklords use the phrase "in lair" rather than "in domain" as it appears in compendium.
Gremishka Transformation. The Gremishka have a reaction to transform into a swarm. The monster listing "Swarm of Gremishkas (Magical Allergy Transformation)" has been added to help DMs track this transformation.
NEW MAPS
The book features 47 maps and 28 digital quickplay maps for Maps VTT. These are fully supported.
Hi! The spells under the Reanimator are incorrect in the character builder. I'm not exactly sure what's up, but some spells are gained at the wrong levels and it looks like some tables from other classes are swapped in at certain levels.
As this is now released for Master Tier subscribers is there any word on the projected date when Canadians and other international users will be able to order the Ultimate Bundle and whether the digital pre-order bonus will be honored if that isn't in place before the date of the full release in less than two weeks?
Yes, we have the option to jump through hoops and then work with the team to have a refund on digital to then buy the bundle after the fact but support is already overloaded and I know I would rather not have to add to that or deal with the delays that would be part of that.
I know you can't fully support companions, but could you add a way to track the Reanimator's Undead Companion hit points like you can with the Battle Smith's Steel Companion?

if you create the companion as a monster stat block you can add it to your characters extras and track it's hp that way
So under Gremishka, Reactions, it says "Magic Allergy (Individual Form Only; 1/Day).Trigger: A creature within 30 feet of the gremishka casts a spell. Response: The gremishka regains 15 Hit Points, then becomes a [Tooltip Not Found]." I know it's supposed to say "Swarm" where it says "[Tooltip Not Found]" but is there going to be a separate monster listing called "Swarm of Gremishkas" like in the previous edition of this book, or are we just using "Gremishka" and keeping track of the Swarm aspect on our own? I updated/sync'd my library license and it didn't fix this issue.
They probably goofed up the tooltip tag in the actual book. There's another variant of this that's used in the "Play-Along Pack" and I'm guessing they forgot the parenthetical that distinguishes them.

Then I would have to change the hp on the stat block every time the character leveled up. They did it with the Battlesmith. There is no reason they couldn't do it with the Reanimator.

Next question: "MAGIC ITEMS -- The book features 2 magic items imbued with the powers of their Darklords. These magic items are fully supported."
And where, pray tell, do I find these items? They aren't in the Table of Contents and I'd hate to think I have to go through each individual Darklord to find all of 2 items.

1 IS a Darklord.
Can't remember if the other one is from Borca or not.

I have Master Tier and can access the book itself, but the only species that shows up is Dhampire, and most other content (feats, subclasses) aren't showing up either.

Did you actually purchase the book or are you just getting it through content sharing?
Which has not been the case with the other supplement releases. It's not a huge deal but it does seem like it makes the most sense for the PHB species options to be first.
Dark Gifts say you can gain them whenever you would gain a feat from the Origin category - that implies that Warlocks should be able to choose them with Lessons of the First Ones (which is incredibly thematically appropriate), but they don't appear as options to choose. Humans also can't take them with their Versatile feature.

Yes, as stated in the first post in the thread. It's here: Swarm of Gremishkas (Magical Allergy Transformation)

Dhampir's missing from the species list. Hexblood, Lupin, and Reborn are there, but not the Dhampir, for some reason.

Thank you very much. Torturing my spellcasting players with swarms of Gremishkas is one of my favorite hobbies when they torque me off.

ModeratorAn easy way to check is to go to the Magic Items listing and select "Ravenloft: The Horrors Within" under the Source dropdown. They're Ebonbane and Harkon's Bite.

This release seems to have caused all the Ravenloft species to appear at the top of this page: https://www.dndbeyond.com/species
Which has not been the case with the other supplement releases. It's not a huge deal but it does seem like it makes the most sense for the PHB species options to be first.

Chapter 3 is missing in the mobile app. It's mentioned in the introduction but is inaccessible and missing from the table of contents.
I tested on an android phone and tablet.
Same on the iOS app.
