iOS Mobile Release
We have encountered a minor hurdle with regard to purchasing this source through iOS specifically. It is expected that this will be resolved in the near future, though we do not yet have an ETA. If the source has already been purchased, it should be visible on Apple devices. The source may be found for purchase on web here.
New Class
This book features the Kindred class. This class is mostly supported with the following exceptions:
Blood Potency. Blood Points are a resource that fuels Kindred Feats and subclass features, including the casting of spells. Blood Points must be manually incremented and decremented as used.
Feed. The Feed action includes a rollable for a character’s Feed Dice. We are currently unable to automatically include a character’s Constitution modifier without also displaying an attack roll. The Feed action may be customized to include a Damage Bonus equal to a character’s Constitution modifier.
In addition, while a character is allowed to roll roll up to its maximum Feed Dice, by default the rollable includes the maximum amount of Feed Dice able to be rolled. Should a Kindred character choose to roll fewer than the maximum number of Feed Dice, this may be done manually.
Kindred Biology: Awaken. D&D Beyond is currently unable to limit the benefits of a Long Rest.
Subclasses
This book features 6 Kindred subclasses:
Brujah
Gangrel
Lasombra
Nosferatu
Toreador
Ventrue
These subclasses are mostly supported with the following callouts:
Brujah: Burning Wrath. While adding additional damage dice to Unarmed Strikes is not currently possible, this has been supported by the addition of a rollable action that captures the extra Necrotic damage.
Brujah: Pulverize. This is currently unsupported. Extra damage may be rolled manually, or Custom Actions may be created that capture the additional damage dice for Melee weapons and Unarmed Strikes.
Lasombra: Crush Weakness – Obliviate. This action includes a rollable that deals 2d8 Bludgeoning damage only. D&D Beyond does not currently support rollables that include multiple damage types; the Cold damage may be modeled using a Custom Action on the character sheet, or else rolled manually.
Lasombra: Shadow Mastery – Arms of Ahriman. The changing of a spell’s damage types is currently unsupported.
Nosferatu: Greater Monstrous Gifts – Wings of the Gargoyle. The Speed and Fly Speed increases currently cannot be automatically limited by the wearing of Heavy armor.
Backgrounds
This book features 5 backgrounds:
Ghoul
Ritualist
Scholar of the Hunt
Thrall
Touchstone
These backgrounds are mostly supported with the following callouts:
Ghoul. This background grants Kindred Vitae as part of its starting equipment; magic items cannot currently be automatically added as part of starting equipment selection.
Thrall. The background equipment selection (A) has been split into two nearly identical choices, to allow for a selection of either a Gaming Set or a Musical Instrument.
Equipment
This book includes 49 new non-magical items. These are mostly supported with the following callouts:
Hunter’s Kit.We are currently investigating an issue with adding this item to the character sheet.Update July 28, 2026: The Hunter’s Kit should now be functioning as intended!
Leather Undervest. This is currently unsupported.
Silver Weapons and Ammunition: Upkeep. The cumulative penalty to attack rolls is currently unsupported. This can be tracked manually on a per-weapon basis by adding the appropriate To Hit Bonus through action customization.
Weapon Mastery Properties. With the exception of the Wooden Stake, the silver and wooden weapons in this book are otherwise affected by the appropriate regular weapons’ mastery properties. While a character with an appropriate chosen mastery property will still see the star-shaped icon indicating that a silver or wooden weapon benefits from the mastery property, we are currently unable to surface that information in the sidebars of those weapons.
At this time D&D Beyond cannot support selecting the Wooden Stake weapon mastery. To support the use of the mastery property of wooden stakes, the “Weapon Mastery (Wooden Stake)” feat may be manually added to the character sheet.
Note: The reduced damage die size for most ranged wooden weapons is intentional.
Feats
This book features 5 Origin feats, 19 Kindred feats unique to Kindred characters, and 1 Epic Boon feat for Kindred characters. These feats are mostly supported with the following callouts:
Daywalker: Endure Radiance. Vulnerability to damage types cannot currently be suppressed or removed from the character sheet.
Discipline Acquisition (Oblivion) / Touch of Darkness. The ability to see normally in both magical and nonmagical darkness does not currently surface in the Senses pane of the character sheet.
Feral Whispers: Call of the Wild. While the size category and Beast type have been defined as rules for Summoned creatures in the Extras pane of the character sheet, we are currently unable to support restricting maximum Challenge Rating to the character’s Proficiency Bonus.
Loyal Servant. At this time, D&D Beyond cannot support companions. However, an appropriate Beast or Humanoid stat block may be chosen using the “Misc” category in the Extras pane of the character sheet. In addition, the “Power in the Blood” feature has been supported by way of Options; all appropriate Kindred feats have been implemented to include only the relevant benefits conferred to Loyal Servant. These will not surface on a chosen stat block, but remain in the Features & Traits pane of the character sheet to act as a reminder.
Supreme Discipline Acquisition (Oblivion). The Supreme Discipline (Oblivion) action includes a rollable that deals 2d8 Bludgeoning damage only. D&D Beyond does not currently support rollables that include multiple damage types; the Cold damage may be modeled using a Custom Action on the character sheet, or else rolled manually.
Vitae Concentration / Boon of Generations: Potent Blood. The Blood Point maximum for the Kindred’s “Blood Potency” cannot be increased automatically through these feats. Instead, separate trackers for each have been added to the character sheet, and which reference Blood Potency for ease of use.
Update 2026/07/28: There was previously an issue affecting prerequisites for certain feats, preventing them from being added to the character sheet. This has since been fixed, but characters created prior to this fix may have to have the Kindred class removed and re-added for these feats function properly. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Magic Items
The book includes 1 new magic item, which is fully supported (as far as potions are currently supported).
In the Kindred class, whenever you get the Kindred Feat class feature, you have two options to select feats, instead of one. When you choose the first feat, the second feat defaults to what you chose for the first feat. If you try to select the second option first, it does not allow you to choose any feat.
This one may not be a bug so much as a limitation in the coding for the site, but you can select any feat instead of just Kindred feats whenever you get the Kindred Feat class feature.
None of the Kindred Feats are selectable with the Kindred Feat class feature. Of the feats provided by this product, you can only select the Origin feats. When checking feat requirements, the Kindred Feats all indicate that your character is missing the Kindred or Thin-Blooded requirements. If you acquire the Thin-Blooded Origin feat, it still does not recognize that you have the feat and will give you the same unavailability message.

So quick off the draw! All three of the above issues have tentative fixes, though we must appease the caching overlords before I can verify for certain. I’ll update this post as appropriate.
The tl;dr — When we pressed buttons, I asked for one pineapple and one peach, but it gave me two pineapples and no peaches…
Edit:Currently investigating an issue with Kindred feat prerequisites not being respected, which relates to issue #3 above. This should theoretically be solved, although we await the cache changes to be certain!

It appears good progress is being made for #3. In regards to the feats, when you choose discipline acquisition, there is no way to keep track of your choice.

This should be fixed imminently, there was a fair bit of extra work to get the child feats for Discipline Acquisition to appear. Waiting for caching!
The Brujah subclass isn't letting me select weapon masteries, there's no dropdown menu appearing at all
Hi! On your character sheet, if you activate Fighting Fury, you should be able to select a weapon with its corresponding weapon mastery. Let me know if that doesn't work!

I feel like the Feed class feature is missing some text clarifying that the hit-point maximum is restored after a long rest.
This is now a defined part of the Long Rest rules in the 5.5e rules, so they no longer declare it explicitly on features that are meant to work that way.
