Where's the option for "The answer is always fireball?"
Lacking that I went for the third option because it makes me feel special. Though in the only regular game I'm in right now I'm both the healer and one of the two tanks, so it's usually the heavily armored cleric and paladin up front with the squishy wizard and sorcerer on fire support. We recently hit fifth level, so with two arcane casters the default answer is now fireball.
At this point, your respondents are addressing your question in a three way tie.
I see what they're doing there, very clever.....
But seriously, if one of the options involves scaling a cliff where the slightest mishap would spell certain death, well, Rangers (or more likely Scout Rogues) lead the way for a reason. Every D&D Game should be a re-enactment of the Guns of Navarone whenever possible or you're just playing wrong. This is coming from someone whose PbP character's preference would be to belay lines from his inn room door to his bed at the end of the day if he had his druthers and dumps YouTube vids of Russian and French rope climbing techniques in his posts. I mean why approach when you can ascend and/or Australian repel?

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
I usually go with a prong being smashed in by a hammer.... The prong is usually the party fighter, and the hammer is usually a wizard casting fireball.

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

the actual answer is you say multipronged assault and then sneak off in the confusion with the horses

Sorry, everyone. Just goofing around...
The trick is tricking your opponents into thinking your single assault is a multi-pronged attack and spreading their defenses thinner than necessary.
Come participate in the Competition of the Finest Brews, Edition XXVIII?
