So im going to start an official unofficial lore thread here for her. Feel free to add anything that makes sense or would better help have this lore fit within official lore.
Arachne
Chaotic Good
Symbol: black spider with whispy filigree designed to look like loose cloth/silk (represents her ties to magic)
Arachne, at the dawn of time, was believed to be the mother or sister to Lolth. At some point in their relationship, Lolth had attacked Arachne resulting in Arachne's loss and subsequent hiding. Lolth believing the wounds she inflicted on Arachne were mortal.
Arachne, now, plans to take back her throne from Lolth and plans to do so by divinely intervening in specific drow's lives; to convert them to a higher calling of service and prepare them to end Lolth's reign.
Priests and priestesses teach a compassionate approach to spiderkind and how their roles in nature bring balance to the ecosystem. Males still hold lesser roles, but not out of malice but because in nature, it is the male's duty to court the female and show their worth to her, they he is worthy of procreating. It is seen as a goal for men to strive for better.
Arachne's magic is more chaotic and wild and believed that due to its hard-to-control nature that it played a role in Arachne losing the fight against Lolth. For that, it is taught that wild magic, and all magic in turn, is to be respected when it is harnessed; because, it can take away and be taken away just as easily as it can give and be given.
Arachne takes a softer hand that Lolth to dealing out punishments. Harm to spiderkind is frowned upon but it is not exactly sacrilegious. Arachne believes that worship is not as important at this time as too many temples can reveal her and her plans.
However, Arachne "The spider queen" was a Greek myth of the daughter of Idmon of Colophon. She was a renowned weaver who claimed she was better at weaving than Athena, who punished her by turning her into a spider.
Also there is Lolth The Spider Queen.
That said, I do like your Homebrew Idea. Realize that Lolth absolutely worships Chaos, so much so that she approved her her son's rivalry against her for the sake of Chaos. Even her followers can never catch a break, because Lolth's need for chaos. However, if you could coordinate Vhaeraun into Arachne's lore it would really help sell it. Vhaeraun is Lolth's son who has gained the second largest following of drow that hate Lolth. If Arachne were the better of the 2 choices maybe she can convince Vhaeraun to join her cause to finally rid the realm of Lolth. Just a suggestion, but like I said, I love where you are going with your lore.

I am not sure what my Spirit Animal is. But whatever that thing is, I am pretty sure it has rabies!
Awhile ago I created a homebrew variant for drow called drow of Arachne. They have more spidery magic like web and spider climb and have proficiency with weaver's tools, nets and whips. I made them more quiet and are a hidden race of the underdark who rarely venture far from their magically warded citadels. Arachne was a powerful being who angered Lolth and hid away in the underdark. She eventually grew in power and when a bunch of drow fled from their evil civilization, she guarded them and taught them. They are more reserved and Arachne is kind of neutral. She cares for her people, but dislikes the other powers like Lolth and the other celestials. She may help other non-drow if they are in need. She protects those who have made terrible mistakes.
So the best place i found lore for Arachne was from a 3.5 wiki that didnt show much.

According to Faiths and Pantheons from 3rd edition. Eric L. Boyd, Erik Mona (May 2002). Faiths and Pantheons. Edited by Gwendolyn F.M. Kestrel, et al. (Wizards of the Coast), pp. 182–184. ISBN 0-7869-2759-3. The arachne were powerful clerics of Lolth. They had a strange ability to create a special undead called "Zin-Carla", and they summoned spiders as their familiars.

Really cool lore. Is it official or is it all homebrew (I know you mentioned some of it was based on an old wiki)?
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they.
