A new DnD actual play series featuring a main cast of 4 players and 1 DM (me!), we are a queer content safe space and welcome everyone!
We are launching our very first campaign on January 29th at 7PM EST over on our new Twitch account. The campaign is titled 'A Faerie's Tale' and will take place exclusively in the Fae Realm (a renamed version of the Feywild). We will be playing in 5e and using (slightly altered) forgotten realms lore. Episodes will be live every other Monday starting the 29th and we will post the VODs over on our YT channel the following Tuesday with the podcast version being released later that same week. You can find us on all our socials below and we will update this thread with key information about the campaign before our premiere and after!
These are the major themes that will be explored in the campaign, to see if you'll be interested in the story we are going to tell!
Family
This is going to be the BIG theme. Exploring family in all aspects - found family, family ties, what is the meaning of family, what we sacrifice for family, the family we sacrifice for our dreams.
Nobility
You can't explore the Fae courts without the idea of nobility and the divine right to rule being a big theme. We are going to try and make interesting commentary on the rigidity of harsh CAST systems and the effects they have on society.
Morality
We are going to explore the ideas of good and evil and why we look at certain people as good and others as bad. The Seelie and Unseelie courts provide us a great background to examine these ideas of lawful morality vs actual morals.
Perception
Always been drawn to the saying "perception is reality" no matter may be true, or your truth, the perception from others is what is actually real. The Unseelie are seen as evil but aren't entirely different from the Seelie. Why is that?
Based on some Feywild maps I saw floating around, forgotten realms archfey lore and some inventions of my own I created what will serve as our world map for the campaign. I mapped out all the major areas and points of interest, but the smaller hamlets and towns have been left off as we are too far zoomed out. The world is divide into 4 main territories (borders not shown here):
Our very FIRST episode is tonight at 7PM EST! If you are interested in a Feywild specific campaign with deep found family themes come out to support us on our inaugural episode over on twitch!!
