I wanted to share a video series in order to solicit feedback.
My friend Robert and I have been having long D&D related discussions for years. The talks have been insightful, engaging, and enlightening. I kept saying "We should put a camera in the room with us". So I put a camera in a room with us. The result is a conversational Podcast discussing Dungeons & Dragons. It's a bit like the discussions in the forums here, but somehow, we always get off onto unrelated topics. Thus the title of the series.
We do this because we enjoy talking about D&D. And I enjoy making those discussions something others want to watch (by editing out the useless bits and & improving the production quality as much as I can).
If you have time, take a look. Tell us what you think. Is there something we can do to improve our discussions? To make them more engaging? To make it more useful for you? Is there something we do that annoys your enough to make you rage-quit YouTube? Is there something you'd want us to discuss?
In this episode, Robert and Erik discuss the recently announced D&D Beyond pricing. What is the pricing, our reaction to it, and how the new tool fits into the growing D&D online ecosystem.
This being our 13th episode, we decided to review something spooky. Robert and Erik talk about the new Netflix series "Castlevania". We talk through every monotonous detail of the plot, so... Spoilers!
This one is all about Session Structure. The food, the banter, the setup, the getting settled and eventually the game play. Since D&D sessions can take hours, we discuss how that plays out and what to be aware of. The logistics of getting a group of people to come together for a common gaming experience is not trivial. And often it requires a lot of snack foods.
Erik and Robert take a close look at the basic parts of D&D Encounter. We dissect encounters down to their key elements, then get into how Bruce Willis doesn't like water.

Thanks @Stickman.
We put out Episode 9 yesterday on the topic of Adventure/Campaign Preparation. Coincidentally Matthew Colville did a similar episode in the last week.
We ALSO launched our series as a Podcast (see my signature) AND put together a website http://www.dungeonsandtangents.net/
Most episodes work best as a Podcast.

Alrighty,
Another week, and we've put out another Episode.
This one is all about Session Structure. The food, the banter, the setup, the getting settled and eventually the game play. Since D&D sessions can take hours, we discuss how that plays out and what to be aware of. The logistics of getting a group of people to come together for a common gaming experience is not trivial. Episode 14 - Session Structure
We're very much in need of iTunes Reviews. If you are willing to help out some fellow D&D nerds, go here and give us a review: iTunes

Episode 16 - Building a Backstory

I know I post this every week in here, but I'd love some feedback.
