Improvisational D&D usually plays fast and loose with the rules. I have found much enjoyment from two improv-heavy D&D-related periodic shows. I would love to learn of more of these kinds of D&D shows. (Official channel playlists or officially-sanctioned videos only, please. Please, no unsanctioned reposted videos even if those are the only ones you can find.)
One is called Oxventure (YouTube), tabletop D&D performed by UK Gamer Network's gaming channels Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra (who happen to also be stage performers, musicians, and voice actors). They hit their stride about midway through the 2nd adventure, which is the campaign where they complete their party with the entire cast of "Oxboxtra", DM'ed by one of the hosts of Dicebreaker.
It is very, very, very relaxed on the 5e rules. Rulemongers beware as you'll probably eat your fingers trying to watch. "Sod it. It's fun," take top priority over the RAW.
Another is called Fantasy World (YouTube) by Caution: May Contain Nuts!, a skit TV show whose cast is entirely stand-up comedians (including Mass Effect's Broshep's voice actor, Mark Meer). This one is based on in-world D&D roleplay.
(TRIVIA: One of Mark Meer's brainchilds is live, on-stage "Improvised D&D" with him as the DM, found in Edmonton, Canada's Rapid Fire Theatre [sic for us yanks]. Sadly, I can only find a trailer for it on the theater's channel. I could swear he tweeted some recordings of shows, but I can't find any.)
Share 'em if ya got 'em.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
